We all have our favorite foods, be it pizza, pasta, or burgers. We might think we can eat them every day, but in reality, it can be challenging to keep up the habit. However, one man’s daily ritual of ordering his favorite food for 10 years ended up saving his life. Kirk Alexander's love for Domino's pizza was so strong that he placed an order every day at his local takeaway in Salem, Oregon. The staff knew him well and always expected his order.

In 2016, Alexander didn't place his usual order for 11 days straight, causing concern among the staff, reports UNILAD. They started asking around about Alexander. "A few of my drivers mentioned that we hadn't seen his order come across our screen in a while, so I looked up how long it had been since he last ordered, and it was 11 days, which is not like him at all," said Sarah Fuller, the general manager.

A delivery driver was sent to check on Alexander and reported that "he wasn't answering his door," but the lights were on, and they could hear his TV. Sensing something was wrong, they called the police. When Marion County Sheriff's officers arrived, they heard someone calling for help inside and broke down the door. They found Alexander lying on the floor in need of medical help. He was quickly taken to the hospital, where his condition stabilized.

The Domino's staff visited Alexander at the hospital with flowers and cards. He was very grateful for their actions. Jennie, Assistant Manager at the store told ABC News, "He is doing a lot better. The first day we saw him he was a little bit out of it, just yes or no questions. And then I went back on Monday and he was doing a lot better. We saw him yesterday and he had been moved to the rehabilitation center at the hospital. He was still really tired, but he seems to be doing a lot better and making a recovery."

"[He is] just an important customer that's part of our family here at Dominos," Fuller said. "I think we were just doing our job checking in on someone we know who orders a lot. We felt like we needed to do something," she added. ABC News rewarded the team by giving them tickets for the Captain America - Civil Wars. Moreover, Dominos also appreciated the staff by inviting them to a worldwide rally happening in Vegas. People on the internet also applauded Domino's staff for their great work. @darlenemontgomery9337 commented, "Thanks to you for following through and helping the man."@kungfujohnda wrote, "You guys are heroes."@healthyhottieee said, "Whoa, how caring of them they went above and beyond."
