Halloween is just around the corner, and the celebrations are already in full swing. While noticing this positive change in the air, people are seemingly indulging in recreational activities to find ways to participate in the festivities. In a similar way, Patrick Johnson–who goes by @itspatrickjohnson on TikTok–along with his friends, decided to hop on Universal Studios’ special Hollywood Horror Night. Before the haunted tram ride began, the Los Angeles-based creator assured his female friends not to worry. However, his enthusiasm was short-lived.

As the ride was about to start, the LA resident gave a tight hug to “his girls,” who were frightened to the core at the beginning of the video. “Protecting my girls in the haunted house during the Hollywood Horror Night (show),” the text overlay read, suggesting that Johnson was acting braver than most of his group. Notably, two other women were seen in the video before they finally made it to one of the “scariest Halloween events” in the US.

According to the viral video that has garnered over 6 million views, Johnson was seen hopping on the tram, along with his friends. Within the first minute of the scary ride, he screamed louder than the other two women. Many online scrollers compared his shouts filled with fear to those they heard in the famous 2016 family adventure animated movie “Moana.” After some time, those on the Terror Tram encountered a mystic skull creature coming out of a well. It almost led to Johnson shaking in his boots as he yelled again before apologizing to his co-passengers.

After that, the group reached a designed slaughterhouse where a family was seen sitting quietly at a dinner table. But Johnson was in no mood to stop and screamed the loudest in the room. “What is wrong with you?” he yelled twice as the forty-four-second-long video was about to end. “Go to therapy,” “You need help,” “Are you real?” are some of the catchphrases he tried using to dissuade his fear. Throughout the theme park, the one thing he boasted initially about “being brave” later was ridiculed as comic relief. Although the video was uploaded in October 2023, many find it relevant this year too. His hilarious reaction made people suggest ways to cope with fear in the comments.

@zobellagio wrote, “Apologizing to the haunted house workers for scaring you is definitely my kind of vibe.” @jenno404 added, “That was literally me in a haunted house. I was prepared to sacrifice my youth.” @bruh.james_ aptly pointed out Patrick’s transition from his “I’ll protect you” comment to “automatic screaming.” @bubbobazinski related to Patrick by saying, “This is my husband. You are his twin. He always hides behind my back or in my arms.” Others poked fun at the “protector” for becoming the “protected.” @alixha.yb chimed in, “Nah, because I’m watching this without volume and it just gets funnier!” @mlosson shared, “I once got so scared I fell backward down the stairs and the worker laughed at me.”
