The internet may not always be full of good news, but on rare occasions, it brings people together in the most unexpected and heartwarming ways. On X (formerly Twitter), Moe (@CopsHateMoe) shared a photo of a letter they wrote and illustrated. The letter was addressed to the new tenants, since they're moving house. It was an instruction manual in case the new tenants received visits from two pigeons, explaining how to guide them out of the house. The post has garnered two million views so far.

The letter was handwritten with cute illustrations of a moving truck, the building with birds outside the window, a first aid box, a pigeon, and Moe with Calloway (pigeon). Moe started the letter by introducing themself to the new tenants and wishing them a wonderful time in the new house. They apologized beforehand in case the new tenants received "unexpected pigeon visitors." They explained that they had rescued two sick pigeons while they were living in the building, and took care of them until they got better.
Ever since they recovered, the two pigeons started visiting more frequently. Moe even named them Nev and Calloway. Nev had gotten so comfortable at Moe's house that she would even bring her partner sometimes.
A big day of packing today! Three guests came to watch. I thought you all might like to see a photo of Calloway and Nev.

Moe had one request — they kindly asked the new tenants to be nice to the birds in case they needed assistance and to "escort them out gently." They also assured the tenants that it may take some time for Nev and Calloway to understand that Moe was not living there anymore, and they would stop visiting. The letter was to clear any confusion they might have about the birds. Moe ended the letter with another apology, hoping the birds would not cause too much trouble and inconvenience. They signed the letter with a clever pun, "Moe Hawk," which refers to the hairstyle but is also a clever nod to the bird.
Pigeons are considered to be one of the smartest birds on the planet. Psychologist and professor Ed Wasserman conducted a study to see the similarities between pigeons and children when it comes to learning words. The results showed that the pigeons not only learned the task, but they also applied their learnings and sorted 128 photographs into 16 different categories. Another study was conducted to check if pigeons can recognize human faces, and the results revealed that they can actually distinguish between familiar and unfamiliar human facial features.

The comments were full of people appreciating Moe's art, sharing their own bird friends, and a few expressing their sadness that Nev and Calloway will never see Moe again. @sealicidal commented, "Your name being Moe Hawk is so silly. Also, if this happened to me, I would be so happy and hope the pigeons don’t stop visiting." @lilcheek4 asked, "Okay, this is genuinely the cutest thing I’ve seen all week. I love your art, will be looking at your links, but have you ever thought of writing little children’s books or comics?"
