Man tries to follow brownie recipe way too literally leaving everyone laughing

It's always heartwarming when someone steps out of their comfort zone to do something special for their loved ones. But even with the best intentions, these efforts can sometimes lead to funny mishaps that bring laughter to friends and family. That’s exactly what happened when a woman’s husband decided to make brownies for the family. Erica Nicole—who goes by @ericanic0le on TikTok—shared the hilarious incident on the platform.

"My husband decided to make us brownies tonight. I look over and see this man mixing the batter with his hands," the text overlay of the video read as her husband was trying to wash off the batter from his gloves while laughing. Nicole could not control her laughter behind the camera at her husband's funny mistake. Now, one might wonder why the husband decided to mix the batter with his hands. The text further explained, "I asked him what he was doing and he said the box said to 'hand stir.' Y'all, I cannot breathe." As the laughter did not stop, their dog started barking in the background. In one of the comments, she revealed that the dog is not a big fan of loud noises.

She zoomed in on the cake box that said one is supposed to "hand stir" the batter. Then she showed the batter, which looked quite messy. The woman captioned the post, "My husband is broken." She added a note for Kodiak Cakes that read, "I think y'all need to be more specific with your baking instructions." The video received more than 754k views and over 48k likes. People took to the comments to appreciate the hilarious incident and shared their own stories, highlighting how common such experiences can be.

Nicole added another interesting detail about the whole incident, "It's such a boy thing to do! We also didn't have a stick of butter and he said, 'Okay, I'll just skip that.' I was like, um, no, that's not how baking works. He used olive oil instead." She also revealed that she was the one who usually did the cooking, so her husband really did not know how it should actually be done. @annie_smoo asked, "I still don't understand what's wrong with it." @k667720 explained, "The term 'hand stir' is used to differentiate it from machine stirring (i.e., mixing with a mixer), so stirring using your hand while holding a whisk. Not actually putting your hands in it."
