Kids getting a haircut for the first time or their first day at school often leaves parents quite emotional. They realize that their baby is growing up fast so they need to cherish each moment that they have with them. A dad surprised his partner by taking their son for his first ever haircut and her reaction upon seeing her little boy without his baby locks was the sweetest.

In a video posted on Reddit by u/bindukwe, the dad says, “My son has had long hair his entire life, we’re gonna chop it off today. Surprising mom and see what she thinks.” Then he asks his son, “Hey buddy, should we get you a haircut?” The little boy wearing a 'Spiderman' outfit immediately responds, 'Yeah.'

The boy looks quite happy while getting his hair cut by staff at a salon. The child even excitedly tells his dad, “Spider-man hairrrr!” After the haircut is done, the child can be seen sipping a drink when his father says, “Oh my gosh bro you look so good!” and asks him, “You want to show mom?”

The moment the mother sees her son in his new look, she becomes speechless. Meanwhile, the little one's older sister says “You look pretty, Bubba" even as their father asks: "What do you think?” The mom then goes up to her son to take a closer look, visibly overcome by emotions. “Buddy! Are you kidding me? Where is your hair at?” she asks before giving him a hug and saying, “You look like a big boy... Come here!”

Another toddler went for his first haircut with his parents but wasn't very happy about the experience. The child initially seemed excited to have this experience at the salon but then begins to cry, asking his dad to pick him up. He finally agrees to have a haircut but only while sitting on his father's lap.

His mother tries to make him smile by saying, "You like it. You're just hiding it!" However, the child does not look very pleased until he looks at his handsome self after the haircut. He then fist-bumps his father. He starts to grin and strikes a few poses for the camera before meeting his siblings in the car. His sisters loved his new look and say, "Love it."

u/DaddyForgives shared, "They are so lucky. My son had absolute screaming meltdowns the first two times he got his hair cut. Funnily enough, he just got his third this past Saturday. He just sat there without a care in the world the entire time. Kids are weird." Netizens also loved the cuteness factor throughout the video. u/ThatQuietPerson89 commented, "This family is so freaking adorable." To some, the toddler's final haircut resembled that of professional American basketball player Stephen Curry, and u/sp1nj1tzu pointed out, "They turned him into Steph Curry."
