Most kids have big dreams of what they will become when they grow up. Some have big ambitions for their career, wish for a certain kind of car or house and much more. Many also want to look a certain way when they grow older, probably because they have certain restrictions as kids from their parents or school. Similarly, a man, u/SohornyBeaver, came across what he had thought he would become as an 8-year-old and got to know the grand dreams he had for himself. He shared his "ambitions" with the Reddit community.

The man wrote in the caption, "What 8-year-old me thought I'd be doing at 35." He added, "My friend and I also made a pact that no matter what we were doing when we reached 35, we'd get back together and form the A-Team." The note began, "When I am 35, I'll be married to Courtney and I'll be an actor or a singer or a brain surgeon." He went on, "I will have 35 kids and each of them will have a Limo. I'll live in Beverley Hills." The man had also planned to drive a mix of Limo, Corvette, Convertible, Lamborghini, Ferrari and Porsche. "Courtney and I will buy the Bermuda and the rain forests. Every summer, I will go to those places."

In an interview with Newsweek, the man named Jake from Tennessee, said, "Growing up, my mother archived most of the homework assignments I brought home with me. I recently became a father and it was then that my mother decided to pass those memories down to me." He continued, "From the next room, I heard her laughing at all the things my younger self decided to put on paper. She set this one aside and said I had to look at it." Explaining his drawing of how he'd look, Jake revealed, "I would have a tattoo on my arm of an anchor, like my favorite GI Joe, Shipwreck. I would have another tattoo of an 'N' so that people would know I liked Nintendo. I'd sport a sweet mustache and walk about shirtless with a hairy chest. I would have a 1000-yard stare and a scar on my face, a battle wound from being a badass mercenary."

"I definitely thought I would grow up to be some sort of mercenary. I also kinda knew how far-fetched it all was and knew that I had to have drive and long-term dedication to achieve that goal," the man clarified. "I did play in a band when I was younger, so technically, I was a singer, but today, I work in IT and am not an actor nor a brain surgeon." He further added, "I have never driven an expensive car. The closest I've been is sitting in the passenger seat of a friend's Porsche. Even living in California for three years as a kid, we never made the trek to Beverly Hills. It was all fantasy in my head about where someone who was successful would live."

In a comment, the man updated, "This was made in the 2nd grade in the late 80s. The handwriting is good because it was a handwriting class/lesson. Trust me, the handwriting has been all downhill since. I was obsessed with GI Joe and the A-Team. I lived in California and Beverly Hills, to me at the time, was the height of luxury. Today, I do not own Bermuda or a single square foot of rainforest. I'm +40 and live in East Tennessee. My wife's name isn't Courtney and sadly, she was only able to produce two beautiful children for me." u/Jechtael wrote, "My favorite part is that the person thought that the prestige of a limo was in the driving." u/Lepke2011 joked, "I bet Courtney liked 8-year-old you as much as Nicole liked 8-year-old me, which is to say not at all."
