No one is a stranger to accidentally shattering glass on the ground. Whether it’s a cup, cutlery, a showpiece or even a shelf, the shards are dangerous and not to mention, a hassle to clean up. Even after thorough cleaning, one finds tiny bits under the couch or table and in corners one wouldn’t even imagine. TikTok influencer Scott Frenzel (@scott.frenzel) shared in his video that there is an effortless way of getting rid of all the shattered glass quickly and safely. Sharing hacks that can serve one for life, the man has dedicated his account to suggesting alternatives to handle everyday mishaps. Frenzel began posting a series of videos offering life hacks for people who have just moved into their first apartment.

Sharing part 8 of the same, he spoke about how to get rid of glass pieces if something has broken. He said, “If you drop a glass and it shatters to the ground and you’re having trouble sweeping it up, go into your pantry and grab a slice of bread.” Revealing further, the influencer said, “Yes, bread. Grab the bread and press it on top of the glass pieces on your floor or carpet. It will pick them up like a magnet.” Several home and decor sites suggest using the bread hack for picking up shards of glass. It is one of the safest and quickest methods to ensure that you get rid of all the tiny bits not easily visible to the naked eye.

Frenzel cautioned his viewers to use gloves while practicing the same and even joked about not using the same piece of bread for one’s next sandwich. Glass shatters into minuscule bits that brooms and even vacuums may not be able to pick up. The bread’s spongy and soft texture ensures that the pieces stick to the bread’s surface leaving your ground glass-free. With over 70k likes and 100 comments, users were delighted with Frenzel’s advice. @witchy_mushroom0 said, “Personally, I think this should work.” @..Emma.333 said, “That’s what my parents taught me when I was nine.” Home hacks are a blessing in disguise. Maintaining a home can be tough so having hassle-free methods to deal with things lifts off so much stress. Sharing another home hack, a woman explained what helped keep her house from burning down.

@itsginellamassa almost burned her kitchen down while cooking and if not for a fellow TikTok user’s hack, her house would have burned down. She revealed that she was about to fry an egg and had put some oil into a pan to warm up. During this, she got momentarily distracted by her child who seemed to be throwing her food on the floor. As soon as she turned around, she saw "plumes of fire” coming out of the pan. "So I'm like holding this frying pan. Flames coming out of it,” she recalled. She intended to put the burning pan by the window and immediately recalled the video mentioning not to do so. She fortunately remembered that putting it in the oven would help the situation and carefully put it there. The ingenious move helped as the fire soon died out.
