In a world that's largely driven by technology, a massive number of meet-cutes now happen on social media platforms. Not just dating apps that are exclusively designed to spark romance, but also other social networking apps are becoming places where love blooms. One such beautiful love story blossomed when a Reddit user u/lazytoprocrastinate from Bangalore, India randomly commented on a post. Sharing a gratitude post to the subreddit where it all started, the 26-year-old bore his soul as to how his impromptu comment changed his life by connecting him with his now-girlfriend and it went viral.

"Thank you, r/bangalore, for playing Cupid," the person titled his post. So, it all started last June when the man commented on a woman's post in r/bangalore where she "contemplated a career switch to copywriting and had asked for suggestions - agencies, culture, cost of living in Bangalore." Nearly a month later, the man received a message from the same woman asking about the advertising industry in his city. Over time, as they discussed writing and advertising, he learned that she wrote poetry too and that piqued his interest. The 29-year-old woman eventually revealed her Instagram poetry page to him. He wrote, "I was mesmerized with what I read and had to follow her."

By last August, the duo connected through their Instagram accounts and began texting each other frequently. "I realized she had started letting her guard down when she talked to me," the man wrote. In a few months, the woman admitted that she had feelings for him. However, the man being a pessimist by nature was a bit skeptical to admit his affinity towards her because they were miles apart. He eventually admitted his love for her and thus began their long-distance love story. "We'd discuss everything from politics to art to technology to nature to wherever your mind can go," he wrote and added, "We'd fall asleep next to each other on video calls every night. We couldn't get enough of each other, without ever having met."

Beautifully describing his girlfriend's personality, the man wrote, "She had a steely resolve mixed with a vulnerability. She was confident and yet unaware of it. She fell in love with me without taking 'us' for granted." The woman of his dreams got a job in his city and finally arrived to meet him in person a few weeks back. "She looked prettier than she did on calls. She sounded more confident than she did on calls. When I hugged her, it felt more loving than a hug emoji," he wrote. Right on time for Valentine's Day, the couple was able to spend time with each other rather than being separated by screens. "I feel stupid writing this, I'm too old for this shit. But this is not just a note for her, it's for this subreddit also."

"Without r/bangalore, we'd never have met. So, thank you," he ended his story. People in the comments were all love and wishes for the couple. "This is so wholesome and pure! Kudos to you both! May this be your forever," commented u/jamiefox23. "They say love is in air, love is in nature. Love is here, right on this app," wrote u/corporatewalashayar. While many were intrigued about what happened next in their story, the man shared a follow-up post with a picture of him holding hands with his girlfriend.
