Kids bring a newfound joy to any family. However, bad parenting might make kids a nightmare to deal with. Unfortunately, many people come across such annoying kids at least once in their lives either in their neighborhood, while traveling or in restaurants. One man, u/Northmech, who had to deal with the irritating shenanigans of his neighbor's kids devised a hilarious revenge plan. Taking it to Reddit, the man recounted the incident from when he was in his 20s and living in a trailer house. His payback to the noisy kids and their parents was so ingenious that the internet lauded him

The man begins his revenge tale saying that it was "not his finest moment," but was sure a funny one. During his 20s, he bought his first home, a trailer house. Considering he lived in a trailer park, he wasn't surprised that it wasn't a decent neighborhood. However, when he met his neighbors, he didn't realize they would become a nuisance soon. Although a few months went by without any issues, the neighbor's kids soon started being too loud. "The kids on one side were using my outside wall to constantly bounce tennis balls off. It drove me nuts," he explained. "I talked to the neighbor. They said, 'Kids will be kids,' and didn't put a stop to it," he added.

So, he took things into his own hands and planned a brilliant prank that he could pull off from a distance so he wouldn't get into trouble. "I got a set of extremely loud air horns as they use on trains and semi-trucks. Put them under the skirting. The next time the kids started I hooked up the air hose from my air compressor and opened the valve. The kids screamed and ran crying," he explained. Elaborating on how well he hid his prank, the man said in a comment, "I ran my air hose to the horns under my skirting by the vent that was pointed at their yard. The hose went inside through my floor to my closet where I had my ten-gallon air compressor. A valve was all I had to turn to release 125 PSI of air through a 1/2-inch hose to the three trumpet horns. It could be heard for about a half mile."

This prank riled up the neighbors who warned him to stop. Later, he planned a second prank which he used for months to annoy his entitled neighbors. "One night, I hid a wireless battery-powered doorbell under their stairs and I'd randomly push the button to ring it. Their dogs would go crazy barking and running around," he wrote. He used this prank so much that he had to change the batteries on the doorbell a dozen times. In one of the comments, the resident added, "I know they will never forget me. When I sold the place, the dude who bought it asked what the button was for. I told him it was a bark button. He laughed when I pressed it."

"Hello Satan. You could tell them, 'Kids will be kids. And homeowners will be homeowners,'" quipped u/Prestigious-Moose345. "Wow, the horn thing is great, but the ring is absolutely awesome that would definitely drive me crazy," remarked u/ToolAndres1968. "Good job. You have a right to quiet in your own home," added u/ReceptionThink874. "This flipping glorious and I wish I had an award left to give. Take my poor award," chimed in u/Negative_Lie_1823.
