'Embarrassed is an understatement,' he said.

A few hiccups are to be expected during a flight, but getting drenched from "head to undies," the way Kevin Glover (@glovesho1) put it, is not okay. On April 27, Glover shared a video on Threads of himself getting soaked on a United Airlines flight as liquid poured down on him from the overhead cabin. He tagged the airline's Threads account, hoping for a timely response, but they have yet to reply to his video complaint. The post has received 45,900 likes, 5,300 comments, and 2,800 reposts so far.
Glover recorded himself in his seat, holding a paper towel, trying to stop the liquid from dripping on him. Despite his predicament, Glover still had his sense of humor. He paired the video with a trending sound that goes, "Yep, that's me. You're probably wondering how I ended up in this situation," followed by Boney M's 'Rasputin.' However, the caption on his post was serious. He wrote, "I was soaked from head to undies, literally. Embarrassed is an understatement."
Instead of moving him to another seat, all the crew did was give him paper towels to fend off the constant dripping. It would have worked, had he not been soaked several times during the flight. He added, "It's even more embarrassing and insulting to have been patient, kind, respectful through this whole ordeal to still get a 'slap in the face, here and move along' type service."
Glover knew it wasn't water that was dripping over him. He explained in the caption, "That's not spilled water; that's your cabin's collected air condensation leaking all over me." He was grateful for the few people who helped by complaining to the crew but wanted the airline itself to respond and take accountability for what happened to him. A few hours after his first post, he shared another one, tagged the airline again, and wrote, "It's your move to make this right. Millions are literally watching. There's a lot to this clip, and you all have all the information to make it right."
JD Power conducted its usual North America Airline Satisfaction Study in 2025 on 10,224 passengers. The study revealed that JetBlue Airways came out on top in terms of customer satisfaction in first and business class, followed by Delta Air Lines and then Alaska Airlines. For the economy or basic segment, Southwest Airlines ranked number one in customer satisfaction, followed by JetBlue Airways and Delta Air Lines. United Airlines was not mentioned in the survey, and situations like Glover's could be the reason why.

The people in the comment section were ready to fight the airline and pushed Glover to sue them. Many also complained about United's services. @hehates advised, "Don't forget to mention water damage to your electronic devices in your complaint." @beautybyteal added, "You need a lawyer immediately. You should never have to pay for another flight with @united, and you need to be heavily financially compensated."
