As relationships evolve, couples often get ready for the commitment of marriage to share a life they dreamed of. In recent decades, planning unique and romantic proposals has become a cherished expression of love. Be it intimate gatherings or grand gestures, these moments are often planned in such a way that reflects the couple's shared interests and likes. That was the case with this long-distance couple who recently got engaged in the most epic way. On 11th October, Jack Lorey, a vision technician from Nashville, Tennessee, swept his girlfriend, Erica Bonilla off her feet at the Houston airport, as per KPRC Houston

With a one-way ticket from Nashville to Houston, Texas, where Bonilla lived, Lorey set off to celebrate his girlfriend's birthday - but that wasn't all. He had planned a wholesome proposal involving the passengers of the United Airlines flight he was traveling in. Once the flight landed, around 40 passengers, each carrying a rose in their hands, exited the plane while an eager Bonilla waited on the tarmac. With a wide grin on her face, she received the roses that the passengers offered her and her face lit up when the last passenger to get off the plane with a rose in his hand was Lorey.

Lorey got down on one knee and proposed to Bonilla right on the tarmac and she immediately said yes. With people cheering for the newly engaged couple, this moment proved to be more special as it was the end of a long-distance relationship for them. Bonilla was ready to move to Tennessee with Jack. "This is the best day of my life. I am beyond happy and I love him forever," the cheerful bride-to-be said. Posting the news of his proposal on Instagram, Lorey quipped in the caption, "Life hack: Surround her with cameras so she can’t say no. Very blessed and can’t wait to marry my best friend." He thanked United Airlines for orchestrating this proposal and they replied saying, "One box of tissues was not enough. Congratulations!"

Like it was mentioned before, many individuals try to make their proposal a reflection of something that meant a lot in their relationship. In Lorey's case, popping the question in Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport and with United Airlines' support was important because it reflected the couple's commitment to each other. The pair met in Florida when Lorey was attending a friend’s wedding and Bonilla was on a family vacation. Their friendship blossomed into love and they had to spend the last two years flying between Nashville and Houston every month. "Travel is a huge part of our relationship—it’s what’s kept us together all this time," Lorey told the media channel.

"Leading up to the day, I was a nervous wreck, I sent an email on a whim to United and to have gotten their help to make this proposal happen is so cool. I am beyond grateful," Lorey told WKRN. Speaking of how special United Airlines was to him, he noted that he was a frequent user of their service and also Bonilla's aunt worked for the airline. When he had his ankle surgery a while after meeting Bonilla, traveling to meet her was almost impossible but Lorey was grateful that the airlines were "extremely accommodating" during those tough times. Now with this proposal, the airline has become a memorable part of the couple's life journey.
