Man proposes to fiancee's daughter and it is heartwarming: 'Can you be my daughter?'

Children can have a lot of difficulties adapting to step-parents, especially when they're quite young. This particular man understands that assignment. He made an adorable attempt to include his partner's child well into the beginning of the marriage: in the proposal. In a video on TikTok posted by @taylornally1, a man plans out a proposal for not just his partner, but also her young 9-year-old daughter. The child is seen entering the room in the video and then the mom shows her ring to her child when she says, "It's pretty!" She then asks, "What happened?" and proceeds to run toward her mom's fiance. The fiance then proposed to the young girl in the most adorable way.

He then bends on one knee and asks her, "So I got a really important question. Can you be my daughter? Can I be your daddy?" he asks, as the girl gets emotional and says yes! The two hug adorably as the man says, "I'll love you forever, I promise. And I'll take care of you and everything."

The video was also posted on Reddit's subreddit r/MadeMeSmile by the child's aunt, who captioned the video, "My sister’s fiancé also proposed to her daughter, my niece, yesterday," with over 8000 upvotes already. The video is doing the rounds on social media with almost 739,000 views and over 145,000 likes. Many commenters think the gesture is beautiful since it's very difficult for children to make this kind of adjustment. The fiance has been awarded a lot of praise by social media users.
