What started as a light-hearted task for the stranger turned out to be heartwarming and people find it absolutely cute.
Sometimes, one of the bravest acts a man has ever done may not be fighting wars or facing a lion, but simply asking his crush out. Though it's easy for men to start a friendship with a girl they like, confessing their interest or love for her takes courage. All it takes is a little push and he leaps. Recently, popular content creator Jesse Ogundiran—who goes by @jesseogn on Instagram—offered that little push to a stranger he met on the streets and it worked wonders. While interviewing a random young man, Ogundiran challenged him to confess his feelings for his crush, which blew up on the internet.
Stopping two pedestrians on their tracks, Ogundiran gave one of them a dare to finish and it came with an attractive prize too. "If you call your crush and tell her your feelings, I will give 5000 Yen (approximately $32) for your date," the content creator said. Impressed by the hefty sum, the Japanese man immediately reached for his phone and dialed his crush's number. Ogundiran felt nervous for the stranger and once the crush picked up the phone, the stranger got nervous too. The man and his crush started on a light note greeting each other and sharing niceties.
Then, the man took a daring leap. "So, I have one thing I want to ask you. Would you like to go out with me?" he asked his crush with child-like giggles. The woman on the other side was heard on the speaker asking if he meant to ask her for dinner. The guy replied, "Yeah. I've been interested in you, Miyuki." The woman chuckles and asks, "Is that so?" When he confessed his interest, she agreed to go on a dinner date with him and the man could not believe his ears. He thanked her for accepting his interest but she shocked him by thanking him back. Once they bid their goodbyes on the phone, the Japanese guy screamed in joy, "Vamos!" This random encounter turned out to be a cheerful moment for him as his love started to bloom.
The video garnered over 16 million views in just 3 days and people absolutely loved this confession. "Awww! Him thanking the girl at the end and her thanking him. I appreciate the gratitude they showed for each other," said @selene.s0ul. "Bro won a dinner with the girl and get paid for it, win-win," lauded @irgangnero. "The 'No, thank you' from the girl tells you that she somehow needed that. It also tells you, 'Thank you for making the first move,'" added @yddumika. "Guys it’s a lesson to always try even if you think wrong," quipped @bribri_monkey22.

Speaking of confessing your love to your crush, this woman's brilliant cookie hack might come in handy. Fia James (@fiajames_) shared a witty hack on TikTok that would help one make a lasting impression on their crush and even help spark the relationship. "When you invite a guy over, you should be baking cookies before they get over so that your apartment still smells of cookies," she explained. When she tried this hack on her own boyfriend who was then a crush, it worked like magic. "We tricked them and we manipulated them and now every time they smell a cookie, they think of us. Bake your cookies," she added.
