Man performs live music on the street to boost confidence of those struggling with life

He stands on the sidewalk, blissfully holding one of his signs inviting people to dinner, a free aerobics class, or just to vibe to his music.

Many times in life, we walk down the road with no destination in mind. What we really do need is just someone to get us. It happens on days when we are not feeling like us. Even someone's small gesture can mean the world to us. During such days, a toddler's laugh or a stranger's kindness can help in uplifting the mood and spirit. After all, on days when one can not walk, crawling seems like a victory. Similarly, while talking about kind strangers, we ought to mention Fulton Lee. The musician—who goes by @fultonleemusic on TikTok—is out to make the world a better place for everyone.

Lee's social media is full of him standing up on the sidewalk with hoarding in hand, with conversational messages like "Vibe with me," "Stand here if you had a bad day," and even "Dine with me" if he's feeling extra fun! In a video, he is standing with a sign in his hand that says, "Sit here if you feel like giving up." While many people may or may not have sat there because they might not have it in them to face reality, one man was brave enough. He sat down on the stool across from Lee.

After the man sat down on the stool, Lee kept the sign aside and grabbed his guitar and mic. He then began to sing one of his original songs, "Close To The Edge." As the lyrics of the song dawn upon the stranger, he visibly starts to get vulnerable. By the end of the song, the man looks happier and relieved. The song might not have solved all his problems, but it sure saved him. He said, "Man, bro, that hit, that hit hard, man." The stranger went on to thank Lee for his elevating performance.

While parting ways, Lee told the man, "Don't give up man," to which he confidently replied, "I won't man. I won't." The stranger asked Lee to keep doing what he was doing with a heart full of gratitude. Summarising all the collective emotions, @mademoisellecurly commented on the video and said, "Can you imagine feeling like sh*t but having to keep going with your day looking normal while wanting to die on the inside, and as you're randomly walking, this random musician sits you down and sings this to you? Talk about a sign from the universe!" @jon.torrence shared his gratitude, "Human connection…absolutely beautiful. At the heart of it, this is why we write!! Thanks for sharing, man!!!"

Lee, on days when he is feeling more fun, also holds up signs like "Free aerobics class" to let people have a good time. In fact, he has also once slept on the sidewalk with a huge "Wake me up" sign and people have actually done that. What he is doing might seem small, but the impact it has on the people he interacts with can not be compared to any monetary value. It is kindness like this that reignites people's faith in humanity. So, more power to you, Fulton Lee!
