The man works at Microsoft and believes that his mom has played a huge role in what he has achieved.
Many parents try to do everything in their power to give their children a good life. Sometimes, the children decide to return the favor in the most heartwarming way possible. Similarly, a son decided that he would pay off his mom's mortgage and surprise her to honor everything she has done for him. The son, Dre Ainsley–who goes by @ainsley.06 on Instagram–shared how he carried out his plan and his mom's reaction.
"Today is the day; it has come. I have paid off my mom's mortgage. I have been planning for this for a while. I am so grateful for my career in Microsoft and the business ventures that I have ventured into in the past year," Ainsley shared. He revealed that all of this has allowed him to do things for his family. "My mom has always been super supportive." He made a video to break the news that he had paid off her mortgage. His initial plan was to surprise his mom in person, but he couldn't visit home because of a hurricane and had to make do with a video. "Hey, Mom, I know I am supposed to be home, but unfortunately, the weather is keeping me here in Houston," the video on the screen began.
"I told you I had a surprise for you a couple of weeks ago and unfortunately, I am not going to be there today. This is how life works. So, I am sending you this video to let you know that I am super proud and honored to be your son and I am super proud and honored that you are my mom," Ainsley expressed. "These past 32 years of my life, I think you have been a catalyst for getting me to this point with your free love, irrational love, unconditional love, non-judgemental love and support for my career." He added, "So, I wanted to come in here and say that nothing you've done is in vain. I am proud of you, I love you and my gift to you is in this envelope. The check and the receipt to no more mortgage."
"Now you own your home. Thank you," the son revealed. The instant the son explained the gift, the mom overcame with emotion and started crying. She hid her face with her hand and cried for quite some time after receiving the news. The caption to the video read, "Today, I paid off my mother's mortgage. No more mortgage payments. She owns it. It's hers. My mother is the true catalyst for my success." Ainsley went on, "This has been my dream since graduating college and it's only the beginning of our continued blessings. My mother's love for me has always been free... It didn't have to be earned, it was not rationed, it was not conditional. It has always been unconditional, non-judgmental, supportive, trusting and unwavering."
"I am everything I am because of my mother's love for me. My confidence in knowing who I am is because she has always told me that there isn't a star in the sky that I can't reach. Congratulations, Ma, on owning your home! Thank you, I love you deeply," the son concluded. People took to the comment section to appreciate the gesture. @_niyahmarie_ commented, "You're so awesome, love you and I'm proud of you, big cousin!" @jraydupree wrote, "My smart godson, keep up the great work." @iamdrbrit remarked, "This is amazing. Truly, a rare gem. Great job, Dre."
