His female co-passenger saw him texting 'I love you' to two women and assumed that he was cheating on his wife.
Love languages across the globe differ. It’s little things that mean the most to us in different ways. Whether it’s making a cup of tea, pretending to not know about a surprise, or even sending text messages. Yet, what occurs when such acts of affection are misconstrued, leading to unwarranted accusations? As crazy as it sounds, a father—who goes by @berryd_treasure on TikYok—witnessed the same on a flight and expressed his view on the situation.
The man boarded a plane and was ready for the plane to take off and decided to do what most of us do. He sent a text message to a woman, his wife, that read, “Hey, I’m on my plane. I love you.” Seconds later, he sent the same message to another female quite naturally. However, his female co-passenger wasn’t having it. She had been snooping around the situation for a while and called him out as soon as she saw his texts. She assumed that she was cheating on his wife and said he should be “ashamed” of himself. His wife’s contact was saved as “beautiful” which immediately pushed the lady in the next seat to react.
The man took to TikTok addressing the video to his wife and said, “I had TikTok out before this happened so she said she’s got my TikTok handle and that she’s ‘gonna put it out there, I just wanted to tell you before she does.” Here’s the answer to what’s on everyone’s mind so far. Who was the other female? The other female was his daughter and he went on to mention, “If you could go down to the end of the hall, and tell our daughter that I will no longer be texting her from the plane that I love her because I can only love one girl at a time, that would be great.”
The co-passenger misread the situation but without clarifying, she immediately reacted. The man found it hilarious that she made it such a big deal that he was texting two females, both of whom happened to be his family. He further sent a message to the co-passenger and said, “You should probably learn to mind your own business, and I hope that you see this since you felt it was important that you tell me that you knew my TikTok handle. Have a nice day.”
Several users commented on analyzing from both perspectives, but the majority found the lady wrong. Many even supported the man’s decision to post the video and call the lady out. @jobey3149 said, “Handled the situation 100% like a pro.” @yellowroller said, “A father should have every right to say ‘I love you’ to his daughter.”
The man was called out for loving his family and showing the same. Can you imagine walking with your wife hand in hand and then meeting your sister and giving her a hug and someone calls you out blatantly saying you’re cheating? You’d think they’re bonkers. That was the man’s reaction as well. If she had to not snoop into someone’s phone or at least clarify after seeing something suspicious, she’d save herself a lot of embarrassment. Her example simply left us a message, “Mind your own business.”
