Most of the time, creators outsmart or outmaneuver unsuspecting strangers. But every once in a while, the tables turn, and a creator accidentally meets their absolute match. That was precisely the case for one content creator (@challenging.follow6) who offered to buy a stranger a full tank of gas if the man could successfully take him down. The unsuspecting driver filling up his car happened to be UFC fighter Shane Burgos, who accepted the challenge. What unfolded next was just pure gold, as shown in the clip posted on 26 July 2026, garnering over 50,000 views.

A bold challenge
The creator approached a driver filling up his car at a gas pump with a straightforward challenge: "If you take me down, I'll pay for your full tank of gas." Looking to test strangers in a quick wrestling duel on a patch of grass nearby, the creator assumed he had the upper hand, only to be met with immediate confidence from the driver.
Uncovering the identity
Before agreeing to the grapple, the man casually revealed his background, stating, "I'm in the UFC." To prove it, he showed video footage of his professional fights inside the Octagon, where the creator recognized him as mixed martial artist Shane Burgos shouting, "Oh yeah!" realizing he was stepping up against an elite athlete. Regardless, backing down wasn't an option any longer. So, the host accepted the match anyway and declared, "All right, let's go."
Battle on the grass
The two locked up on a nearby lawn as passing cars honked at the sudden street-side bout. The creator quickly realized the skill and strength of his opponent. He noted during the scramble that the "dude is strong." Burgos dominated the position, controlling the tempo while the host fought hard to stay on his feet amidst the chaotic grapple. With a swift move, Burgos leveraged his wrestling technique to lift the creator completely off his feet, turning him mid-air and landing a smooth takedown on the ground.

Before transitioning to the Professional Fighters League (PFL), Burgos earned four Fight of the Night honors in the UFC, boasting 10 stoppage victories (5 KOs, 5 submissions) across his 16 overall professional MMA career wins, according to Verdict MMA.
Settling the bill
With the creator hitting the ground cleanly, leaving no doubt about the outcome of the challenge or the UFC fighter's grappling dominance. The creator headed back to the pump to cover the driver's tab and honor the original agreement. After looking at the meter, he confirmed, "I got $34 for his car," before shaking hands and embracing Burgos. The result wasn't a surprise given Burgos' extensive MMA background.
