A man decided to go through his girlfriend's Goodreads profile to find all the books she wanted to read and gifted them to her.
It does not matter how big or small a gift is. However, the thought behind it always counts. So, rather than throwing something random to gift your family, friends or partner, it is better to learn a bit from men like Trevor Brandt–who goes by @tsumii1 on Instagram. He did a generous amount of research to compile the perfect gift for his girlfriend Kate and shared the videos on their joint Instagram account @katextrevor. Brandt started the first video talking about how he was inspired by the video of a guy who got 31 books for every day of the month and gift-wrapped them.
"I did a little stalking on my girlfriend and went to her Goodreads, looked at all the books that she said she wanted to read," Brandt said while sitting in his car. "So today, I am going to Barnes & Noble by myself and trying to figure out these books." Then the video shifted to Brandt entering the Barnes & Noble bookstore and being instantly overwhelmed by the rows and shelves full of books that resembled a maze.

Then he started picking out all the books from his girlfriend's wishlist, starting with "From Blood and Ash" by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Brandt filled up his basket with some other bestsellers like "Rock, Paper, Scissors" and moved towards a stack of books that were marked to be popular on BookTok. "Found the jackpot," Brandt giggled upon discovering the stack. He added a couple's coloring book to his purchase list as well. He paid for the book haul and grabbed the rest of the 31 books he planned to gift his girlfriend from a local bookstore.
He came back home to start gift-wrapping all the books and then neatly arranged all of them into a cute gift bag. Brandt also added a penguin plushie to the gift pack and expressed his hopes that his girlfriend would like it. As the comment section of Brandt's video filled up with people demanding to see Kate's reaction to the gift, Brandt made a second video recording Kate's reaction. Brandt set up a camera and placed the gift bag along with a champagne bottle at the table. Kate walked in to receive the surprise and joked that Brandt's Christmas gift was way too early.

Kate took a while to process the contents of the gift bag, and when she finally realized it was full of books, her mouth dropped open. Brandt revealed how he shopped for her favorite books after stalking through her Goodreads account. Kate stood speechless as Brandt pulled her in a hug and she started crying. She grabbed the book that was marked number one, stole the bottle of champagne, kissed Brandt and skipped away from the frame laughing. The comment section hailed Brandt as the ultimate green flag and urged other partners to take notes from him.
@bethwebster7 commented, "I love that after she's processed through all of her happy tears, she asks is this book one? Grabs it, picks up the wine, kisses you to go read." @aphexhanna wrote, "Don't cry! Sir, I'm crying just from how flipping cute this is!" @sarahsenshii mentioned, "Men, take notes. You sweet, sweet, precious man. I was smiling all the way through this video! Your pure excitement for her to see everything, her reaction, and how you loved her. I'm legitimately so happy for you both, and I don't even know you! Merry Christmas, precious beans." @agnieszkagarcia added, "You just made her feel so seen and loved. The sweetest thing. As an avid reader, this is the best kind of gift."
