He was woken up by a call at 5 am from a place he didn't even work at but decided to teach them a lesson for their rude behavior.

Some people can evoke completely outrageous responses due to their careless behavior. A simple misunderstanding becomes irritable chaos because the people involved refuse to communicate. Mostly, such instances take place at the workplace or sometimes even on the street. An employee—who goes by u/SirXanthor on Reddit—shared a post about the experience he had regarding work except he didn't work at the store and the careless manager who dialed him refused to communicate. The man shared that he received a call in the wee hours around 5 am for a "Lucy." What's even worse is there's a "snotty woman" on call who's yelling and has no intention of speaking calmly.

The woman introduced herself as "Terry" and demanded that the person or "Lucy" work the weekend. The man said, "Me trying to grasp reality as my brain is still sleeping and I don't know Lucy or this caller, Terry. 'Hey Terry, you dialed the wrong number. Lose it, please.'" He further explained that as soon as he hung up, the caller dialed again and being sleepy, he somehow answered the call again. This time, the woman lashed out at him, yelling and abusing him. The man added, "Now I decided to have some fun with this. The result was very uplifting, I might add."

He then began to play along with the caller. He said, "Terry, I could care less about company policy!! You want me to work this weekend, you are paying me what I require and you're putting this in writing!! Also, because you annoyed me by waking me twice, I now will only work double time on Saturday and triple time on Sundays."

"Take it or leave it!! Oh, don't forget, that's $15.00 an hour!! That means $30 an hour Saturdays, $45 an hour Sunday." The woman got beyond agitated and began yelling before the man could even complete his statement. The man said, "Next thing I know, her yelling attracted other staff and I can hear yelling in the background." When the woman lost her sanity screaming over the call, another guy named Bill took over.

The manager added, "This is Bill, the general manager. Lucy, what is this about not coming in unless you get OT and where the hell are you getting $15 an hour from?" The man decided to continue to play along since they had gone too far into the call. "You want me in. Those are my terms! Stop calling and waking me!" the man said. He then heard a commotion in the background while the manager came to a realization, "That doesn't sound like Lucy. It sounds like a guy?"

The man took his climax scene on call after hearing the manager's words and hilariously said, "For that insult, it's now triple time the entire weekend. We have a deal?" He immediately hung up and returned to his slumber, leaving the ruthless employers in confusion and shock. Several people had mixed reactions to the hysterical story. While some were roaring with laughter, others were worried about the real Lucy, who may lose her job in the process.

u/nersenginurse said, "Think they should pay Lucy more for having to work with a twit like Terry - like hazardous duty pay for retail workers." u/nmagnolia said, "Too many people have no idea of what good phone etiquette is. Even 'okay' phone etiquette. You can't just jump in assuming the person you want has answered the call."
