Man has the sweetest explanation for why he peels pomegranates for his wife: 'It's the small things'

Relationships are not about the grand gestures but the little things that we do for our loved ones. We are talking about the subtle nuances of our daily routine and the unassuming choices that people make for their loved ones. Like this man known on TikTok as @kidd's_Dad who does things like peeling a box full of pomegranates for his wife. 

He says that his wife's favorite snack is frozen pomegranate which is exactly why he is up at 10:30 in the night. "I bought a box and I am peeling it tonight so that tomorrow she doesn't have to worry about peeling them, she can take this whole container, or part of it to the beach with our son and just sit and relax," he said. "I know I look fifteen but I've been married to my wife for nine years now, so I like to think that I have maybe just a little bit of knowledge on this," he added. "I think one of the most important things is just finding the tiniest and smallest things to do to serve your significant other," he said.

He then says how his wife being the oldest daughter does not generally ask for help. "My job is to figure out what she needs, what she wants and do it," he said. He then talked about the importance of learning to do the job right before someone had to ask you to do that. "I'll be honest, it's the small things," he said. "You could do these big, giant gestures but I am telling you, nothing will compare to these little things," he added. "Some pomegranate thoughts, he jokes before announcing that he had about four more of these to go."

People in the comment section were quick to point out how rare it was to find somebody who does things selflessly. Making the loved one feel special is something everybody should do from time to time. In a similar story, a man named Brennan, known on Instagram as @bashabroad, decided to surprise his wife who always wanted a bathtub by setting up an inflatable tub and creating an at-home spa. In the video, Brennan is seen placing an inflatable bathtub inside their walk-in shower placing beauty products for her to use. He also places candles as well as an iPad for her to watch something or play music. In the video, he is also seen adding essential oils and bath bombs and setting up a snack bowl of strawberries. To make sure that his wife was comfortable in the tub. he added a headrest on top of the bathtub. Towards the end of the video, the man can be seen lighting the candle and calling his wife to the tub. He then gives her a head massage, before washing her hair.
