Man gets emotional after learning daughter found his biological dad he had been searching his whole life

Family is incredibly important as it provides a foundation of love, support and security in our lives. Our family members are often our closest and most trusted allies, providing us with emotional and physical support throughout our lives. They are there to celebrate our successes, comfort us in times of hardship and guide us through life's many challenges. However, there are some people who do not grow up with their families and get separated from them at a very young age. They grow up wondering about their biological families, and only a few lucky ones are successful in finding them. Bethany Melton's father is one of those lucky ones who found out about his biological father and family after decades of searching for them. 

Her father's reaction upon hearing this news was caught on video and posted on her TikTok account, @bethmelt. In the video, Melton's mother starts by promising, "It's something good" and explains to Melton's father that Bethany did a Genetics test to "see about her belly." The man sounds confused and asks if Bethany is actually pregnant. His wife says that she isn't pregnant but she found somebody else that has 30 percent genetic commonality with her. The man curiously asks about the identity of this person, and the woman explains, "The only people that in common with her would be a grandparent. All of her grandparents on my side are gone." With this, the mother implies that the grandparent in question is actually one of his parents.

The father seems absolutely shocked by this and says, "That means I actually got Kinfolk." Moreover, Melton's mother reveals that his biological father wants to talk to him and the father instantly has a huge smile on his face. "He wants to FaceTime with you, and you have sisters," she adds, while the man gets visibly emotional. He says, "I have my people," as Melton's mother too becomes emotional says, "He didn't even know that you existed. He is so excited to find you."

This emotional video touched the hearts of many and has gathered almost 30 million views on TikTok. Moreover, in an update shared by Melton, her father was seen finally meeting his sisters and his father, and Bethany called it "a reunion of a lifetime." This beautiful story left everyone on the video-sharing platform in tears. TikTok user @MissHalloweenQueen commented, "It shows our childhood wounds are carried with us. Thank you for healing his." Melton replied to this comment by saying, "He has struggled with this all of his life. He said, 'I finally have answers, I feel whole.' "

Another user @cdstahl noted, "Did anyone else see the sweet little boy come out in his expressions? I’m crying over here." People were relieved and happy to see him reunite with his family after decades. One person @danidubd said, "Not me bawling knowing he finally met his people." Another person @jackiejackiebootysmackie added, "Sobbing at this magical moment. He looks like his dad!!!"
