Tipping has always been a divisive issue for many people. In an economy that is performing poorly, it makes sense that people might not want to tip their servers as much. With that being said, a tip can go a long way in making a server's day and even alleviate any financial difficulty they might be facing. The Mason Jar Cafe, a breakfast and brunch restaurant based in Michigan, shared a heartwarming post on Facebook detailing how one of their customers had left an astounding $10,000 as a tip for one of their servers. The post has 3.1K likes, 362 comments and 757 shares on the social media platform.

They also revealed that the server decided to share the big tip with other servers to spread the love. The post reads, "In a time where so much is happening, we wanted to share and thank the person who did this life-changing act. Things can feel heavy sometimes, but this was such an amazing act to have seen firsthand in our restaurant." We also get to see how the anonymous man had only eaten for $32.43. People loved the wholesome gesture and chimed in with their thoughts in the comments section.

Debe Gibson Stouffer said, "Thank you, whoever you are! The owners and staff at Mason Jar are amazing! They have worked so very hard to be successful! They continue to serve our wonderful community with kindness and incredible food!" Another individual, Shawn Osburn, expressed, "That's awesome! You hear about things like this happening, but never around here!!! Until now. Makes me feel good about humanity." Diana Seely commented, "I can understand wanting to do that. Mason Jar servers are so kind, caring and customer service focused and lots of other flattering adjectives."

A few years back, a kind customer visiting a restaurant in New Hampshire made their day by tipping $16,000 on his $37 bill. It was a routine day at the establishment, and the man walked in and sat at the outside bar with some food. He had two hot dogs, some chips, a coke, a beer and a shot of tequila. The man requested the bill and paid for it. As he was about to leave, he casually told the bartender, "Don't spend it all in one place," per CNN. The owner of the restaurant, Mike Zarella, shared the story on Facebook.

Despite his warning, the bartender did not look at the tip. The man asked her to take a look and she was quite surprised. Zarella said, "When she looked down, she was just absolutely shocked. She was like, 'Oh, my God, no, that's just crazy.'" All the servers were quite happy with his generosity and went to thank him. He eventually started to become a regular at the restaurant but wanted to remain anonymous. Zarella's curiosity prompted him to go and ask him if he was okay with leaving such a huge tip. However, the man had thought it through and replied, "No, I want them to have that money."
