Flying with a good airline makes a lot of difference in ensuring comfort during long flights. Comfortable seats, excellent service and smooth check-ins make travel feel seamless and enjoyable. In contrast, choosing the wrong airline—especially for long flights—can lead to cramped spaces, poor customer service and frustrating delays, turning even short trips into exhausting ordeals. On that note, Christian Grossi—who goes by @christian.grossi_ on Instagram—recently shared his delight after experiencing top-notch service while flying with Turkish Airlines.

"Guys! We've all been flying with the wrong airlines," Grossi exclaimed, recounting his unique experience with Turkish Airlines. He shared that he had received an email from the airline asking if he wanted to rest at the airport. Upon arrival, he noticed a signboard that read "Suitler Suites." Grossi then described how a Turkish staff member handed him an access card to the lounge after he presented his boarding pass. "We have a hotel room. Not just a hotel room, a hotel bed. It's a single bed and my feet are going to dangle off, but it's okay," he added, clearly impressed by the lounge’s amenities.

Grossi also revealed an amusing detail about his experience—what he initially mistook for a remote control turned out to be a shower buzzer. "I am under the covers in my airport bed, looking over the airport. A US airline would never give a surprise like this," he remarked. Reflecting on his journey, Grossi expressed disappointment in how US airlines fall short in many areas. After moving abroad, he came to realize just how far behind they are in terms of quality and customer service. "While traveling around the world, there are many things that you begin to learn and one of the major things is that US airlines are behind in so many things like quality and customer service. It's something I never realized until I left the USA, but this was an entirely different experience," he wrote in the caption.

Grossi was particularly touched by the hospitality of Turkish Airlines. He remarked, "Some people love this airline, and some don't, but I never have been given a service like this while flying." His now-viral video struck a chord with viewers, amassing over 2 million views and sparking widespread admiration on social media. Reacting to Grossi's video, @katrinasarfarazi commented, "Was this a business class? How long was the layover? On my last trip through IST with a nine-hour layover, Turkish Air offered nothing… maybe something new? Hopefully." Similarly, @tt wrote, "I so regret booking with Lufthansa with transfer at Frankfurt. I feel I am gonna get so f****d by not making it to the next terminal in one hour. I should have booked with Turkish Airlines from Barcelona to Dallas."

@franlinscott wrote, "I can only imagine how much less crabby and disgruntled people would be if private rooms with an option to shower were a common thing for long layovers. Not something you need to pay crazy upgrades or have a special credit card for." Meanwhile, @latriceluna added, "I realized since that law passed that airlines have to refund you if you delay longer than three hours… now they make you sit on the airplane for three hours acting like it’s about to take off the USA." On the other hand, @pdx_yogi_buns shared, "Took a Turkish flight home from Europe and it was one of the best flights I’ve ever taken. The plane was pristine and had all the newest technology and don’t get me started on the bathrooms! The new favorite airline!"
