The man had been with his wife for 19 years, and the couple had been married for 8 years. Recently, they had returned from a trip when he asked for his wife’s S25 phone. The man was planning to replace his old S22 phone with a new one, and he checked his wife's phone only to decide if he should also buy the same model. However, as soon as he opened her WhatsApp, he was shocked. Right below his pinned text messages, the man noticed text messages from someone saved as "Lover."
"I saw a conversation from today with a lover. 'Love' this, 'love' that. Let's see each other. To make it worse, it was almost right below my chat, which was pinned," the man recalled. Stunned, the man confronted his wife, who initially said the suspicious contact was just someone she trained jiu-jitsu with. But when the husband refused to believe her, she eventually confessed to having cheated on the author. "Now it's all over. I can't forgive this," the man said.
'My dying phone still helped me'
The incident made the author question their relationship. In fact, he always thought he was a good husband who was always present for his wife, both physically and emotionally. “I wasn't perfect, but I think I was good company.
