Inflation seems to be affecting everybody, making basic living expenses expensive. Many people are cutting down costs and are moving in with their parents to save money. Ben Keenan (@ivebentraveling) thought outside the box and shared a useful video, where he made a very interesting observation about a scenario involving a person living in an all-inclusive resort full-time. The video has 5.6 million views and 7,842 comments on the social media platform. At the start of the video, the text overlay reads, "Is it cheaper to just live at an all-inclusive resort at this point?"

Keenan kicked off the video by revealing how his curiosity got the best of him when he began thinking about this question and decided to make a comparison. He shared his screen, revealing his expenses for a month that included rent, utilities, wi-fi, running cost of a car, food, eating out, going out and gym. It came out to $4,000. To test out his theory about the cost of all-inclusive resorts, he looked up a few of them on Google that were in Mexico. Surprisingly, he found a restaurant that put out a price of $4,445 for staying an entire month with all facilities included.

Keenan pointed out how it was $500 more than what he paid in a month to cover his basic living expenses. He explained, "But bear in mind, I'm not paying the most expensive rent out there compared to what other people might be paying." The creator did not mind putting in an extra $500 if it meant that he would not have to pick up after himself as he did at his house. He wanted to explore his options more, so he searched for all-inclusive resorts in the Dominican Republic.

The creator managed to find another all-inclusive resort with good ratings for a price of $3,162. He pointed out how the hypothetical situation was definitely "doable." But other resorts charged much higher amounts, between the ranges of $7,500 and $8,900. Even then, most of these higher-priced rooms had double beds, so the cost could be split between two people. After showcasing all of this, Keenan said, "So do with this information what you will."

He continued, "I just thought it was really interesting that there is a chance I could go and live an all-inclusive lifestyle somewhere for approximately the same cost as all my monthly expenses." Viewers found Keenan's insights interesting and shared their opinions in the comments section. @frankyrios0 said, "I met a guy on my cruise last year who LIVED on the ship. Paid for wifi and works remotely. Blew my mind." Another individual, @cognitive.plant.therapy, expressed, "New retirement plan: Rent our house and live at an all-inclusive resort with a butler until I die."

Another individual, @marianuuuuhlip, provided an interesting comment, "Ex-hotel employee here! If you did this, you can contact the sales department and negotiate; you might be able to get a better deal." It turned out that this was something that people actually did. @charles.murdock3 shared, "I work with a girl that did this. She worked remotely and lived in an all-inclusive resort in Thailand, then Mexico."
