He was quite confused when the woman wanted to go to a fancy restaurant on their first date and soon enough all the warning bells went off.
Going on an online date is not exactly an easy thing as several things could go wrong. Sometimes one might even have to get out of the date to avoid a difficult situation. A man found himself in a similar predicament where he had to leave his date in a sneaky way. The person, Johnny America—who goes by @_johnnyamerica on TikTok—shared why he "dined and dashed" on a Hinge date. Now it might sound wrong, but the man seemingly had no other option but to get out.
"On this Hinge date, I hit this girl up and I was like, 'Hey, wanna meet up, grab lunch?' For a first date with someone online, I am thinking of something casual like sushi, Panera, a salad, something easy, nothing crazy," Johnny admitted. The woman replied, "I want Hibachi." The man was a little confused with the choice but still went with it. When he reached the restaurant he noticed that his date had brought a friend along, who was sitting right at their table. "She goes, 'Hey, would it be cool if my friend joins in with us, hangs out,'" the man revealed. He didn't really have another choice so he agreed with her.
The group settled down and started talking and getting to know each other. "Both of these women start ordering a bunch of drinks and I am like, okay," the man continued. "Then they start ordering appetizers." When the cook asked the man he ordered a chicken and rice. "The girls go, 'We want surf and turf.' In my mind, I thought, 'These girls think I am stupid, I am not.'" They started talking once again but the warning bells had already gone off in the man's head. Finally, when they were ready to pay the tab, the cook came and asked how they wanted to split the check. "The girl goes, 'All on one.'" The girl wanted the man to pay for all the food so he made an excuse to go to the washroom and went to his car instead.

"You think I am stupid, I am not. You paid my bill, thank you," the video concluded. In a follow-up video, Johnny shared how he went back to the restaurant the next day to ensure that the bill had been paid for. He asked the cook, "Hey, did those girls ever pay their tab? I wanna make sure that they didn't leave the bill on you guys." The cook answered that the bill was paid, but they weren't the ones who paid. Turns out the women waited 30 minutes and called another guy who covered their bill. "There's no saving them, they're not good people," he pointed out. The man paid $20 at the Hibachi place and went on with his day.
People took to the comments section to share their opinions. @will76lliw wrote, "Normally I’d say don’t put them on blast but this part 2 tells me…Put them on blast! Did you get a text from her?" @flyingredpanda4825 expressed, "I don’t understand how people are so low in their morals and values to treat others that way. Like how did they get to that point?" @alicwarz remarked, "How do people like this sleep at night? I feel guilty when dinner is paid, like I gotta repay or at least take them out for dessert."
