Owning a restaurant is far from easy, especially with so many competitors around. Despite the struggles, it's always exciting to serve customers who genuinely help in supporting the business while wanting nothing in return. The owner of Master Kabob, a local restaurant in Arlington, experienced it when he served a content creator on an almost no-sales day. The owner initially didn't recognize the customer, Sam Olvera (@samspov_1), but still delivered a 5-star service, oblivious that his one video would change his life forever. Olvera's video, posted on December 2, has been viewed over 30 million times on TikTok.

Olvera entered the restaurant and noticed it was almost empty. However, that didn't stop him from giving Master Kabob a try. As the content creator approached the owner, he guided him to a table and waited for the order. While Olvera was waiting, another customer appreciated him for choosing the restaurant and helped him with the menu. Soon, the food arrived, and the content creator genuinely loved it. In the meantime, the owner somehow recognized Olvera and thanked him for choosing the eatery. The man was already full, but the restaurant owner packed a little extra food since there were no more customers to serve. Olvera thanked him and also congratulated him on the new venture. "I am so scared because maybe I don't know, no customers coming," the owner responded. Olvera assured that the food was amazing and that it would eventually attract many customers. Later, when he went to the billing counter, the owner insisted he shouldn't pay, but Olvera left the place only after paying some money.

More people are consciously leaving the service sector, and customer harassment is a prominent reason. When BuzzFeed inquired about it, a former worker recalled, "I worked in fast food for 23 years as a manager, but after having two miscarriages in 2021 from the stress, verbal, and emotional abuse, I quit in September. The pandemic has shown the absolute worst in people. In early March 2020, a customer purposefully coughed and spat on me. When I reported to a superior that I was uncomfortable and worried, I was laughed at." This explains that not only customers but also people from the service sector aren't supported by their work superiors, forcing them to leave the industry. However, thanks to Olvera, Master Kabob reached a wider audience, and people from around the community came running to try out the restaurant. In a world where restaurant owners face inhumane treatment, Olvera stands as a hope for humanity.

Meanwhile, people loved how he genuinely appreciated the restaurant without any selfish motives. Many also praised the owner for his hospitality towards his customers. For instance, @trashpanda_50 commented, "Wannabe influencers should take notes, Sam doesn't expect anything for free, he pays his way, and he gets love in return. I love seeing how much people love you visiting them. You're a good guy, Sam." @sweetsandthingsnyc wrote, "I will be taking all my employees there to support! People just don’t know how hard it is to own a small business here in NY. It ain’t easy, and I love this video."

I hope they do great!" @alberto2.o commented, "This is how you use your platform, helping people out with their business and being kind. Good for you, man. God bless!" @dejacruz93 shared, "Let me tell you something. There is something about people who love to feed people food that was made with love that sets them apart from everyone else on the planet. This act tells you a lot about someone’s heart and character."
