As the United States gears up for the presidential elections this year, the internet is bustling with sporadic news every day. Recently, a man from North Richland Hills, Texas stole the spotlight with his unique and noteworthy attempt at expressing his views over the presidential candidates. He changed his name officially to "Literally Anybody Else" and has also announced his run for U.S. President against Donald Trump and Joe Biden this year, as per WFAA, an ABC affiliate. As soon as he became eligible to run the race for the White House, the 35-year-old set out on his mission.

Else, who works as a 7th-grade math teacher and is an army vet, decided to make his mark at this month's Dallas Stars hockey game, held at the American Airlines Center. By the stairs of the PNC Plaza, Else was making the passersby curious wearing his TCU ballcap and a T-shirt that read "Literally Anybody Else 2024." He was seen interacting with people about his political views and trying to garner as many signatures as he could through his stump speech. Having had his name "Literally Anybody Else" signed off by a Tarrant County judge, his primary goal now is to open up the opportunity for millions of Americans other than Trump and Biden to have the chance at the presidency.

Else has filed with the Federal Election Commission and hopes to become an independent presidential candidate of Texas in the November ballot. "I'm not delusional. This will be very hard to do, but it's not impossible. My hope is to have Donald Trump, Joe Biden, and then Literally Anybody Else right underneath," the teacher told the media channel and added, "I really want there to be an outlet for folks like me who are just so fed up with this constant power grab between two parties that has no benefit for the common person." As per the Texas Secretary of State, independent candidates must submit a petition with at least 113,151 signatures of registered voters "who did not vote in the presidential primary of either party." So, Else is on a quite difficult route to the White House.

Else's target is to become widely popular in every household so that people have an awareness of having a third option other than choosing just the two parties. "Write that name (Literally Anybody Else) in - we don't really have a 'neither' option on the ballot, and this fills that role," he said. Before becoming "Literally Anybody Else" the Texas teacher was named Dustin Ebey. His name change intends to send a message that people need to show their dissatisfaction with America's politics by writing his new name on the ballot. "People are voting for the lesser of two evils, not someone they actually believe in or support. People should have the option to vote for someone who resembles and represents them, not the lesser of two evils. I reject that," Else explained.

Though Else is driven on his path, his protest might not necessarily bear fruits. However, he is determined. "We have the responsibility to stand up for ourselves and say enough is enough. Let everyone know we're not hopeless. If you want to accomplish something no one ever has - you have to do something no one's ever done." Else's motto is, "Don’t repeat history. Make it."

On his website, he mentioned that his vision is "rooted in policies that prioritize your well-being, ensuring that every community can flourish." Else strives to work towards a better country for Americans and his goals include - quality healthcare for every American, expanding access to healthcare providers, breaking the cycle of recidivism, improving education for tomorrow, housing affordability for all, investing in our communities, supporting small business success, securing our borders responsibly, and an innovative work-Based tax plan.
