Man breaks down in happy tears after wife surprises him by paying off his mortgage

People say that we should carefully choose our life partners as they can be a huge factor of happiness in our life. A man knew he made the right choice when his wife gave him the biggest surprise. The beautiful moment between the couple is winning hearts online after it was captured on video and shared on TikTok by Slaiman and Kate. The video, which has garnered more than 18 million views, shows Kate telling her husband that she has paid off his mortgage.

The video starts with Slaiman saying, "I just got an email from my bank saying that my deposit was made today." He clarified that he did not make any deposit towards his mortgage and doesn't know where it came from. He appears as shocked and tensed as anyone would be upon seeing an unforeseen financial transaction in their account. He adds that someone might have done it accidentally and his wife, Kate, softly tells him that it was not accidental. She says, "It's me," leaving her husband shocked as he stares at her, trying to comprehend the statement. 

As Slaiman tries hard to understand why and how she did it, Kate reassures him that she made the payment on his behalf. Responding to his repeated questions of "why?" Kate replies: "Because you deserve it. You do so much for me all the time." Slaiman starts crying over this wonderful gesture and hugs his wife. He continues to repeatedly ask her why she did it and says that it's too much. However, Kate tells him patiently, "Because you are my husband and you deserve every single good thing in your life." 

This beautiful video moved millions online, with several commenting that everyone needs to be as kind and giving as Kate. One user commented, "We don't need Kate. we have to be Kate. We need a husband who is there for us and makes efforts to deserve all these." Another person added, "You've taken so much stress off his shoulders he didn't realize he had." A third person added, "This video and gesture are amazing and you can see that it means everything to him." Another person noted, "This made me tear up, treasure each other every day." The video was also posted on Reddit by BUBBLEGUM8466 and has gathered over 73.9k upvotes in the r/MadeMeSmile forum. A Reddit user commented, "Man, I would do anything to have someone care about me like this." Another added, "It hits right in the feels, especially with broken marriages and failing relationships abounding these days." 

Paying off somebody's mortgage is taking a big burden off their shoulders and Kate is not the only one who did it. In a similar heartwarming incident, a man paid off the mortgage of his ex-girlfriend with whom he shares a child. He explained that he wanted to thank her for being an absolutely great mother to their 3-year-old son Leo and decided to give her this surprise. He said, "I had to make sure that she and Leo were secure I'm so glad I was fortunate enough to do this." He surprised her on her birthday and told her that the house belongs to her now as he called the bank and made a deposit against her mortgage. His ex-girlfriend was shocked and extremely grateful for this gesture.
