Man asks internet to edit wife's photo to prove she won't look good in bangs — but it backfired spectacularly

A woman was questioning whether or not she should get a fringe haircut, so her husband turned to the internet for their opinion.

People often fall into a pool of dilemmas before they can get a haircut. Sometimes, the final result might appear dissatisfying whereas others flat-out regret getting a certain haircut. To determine if our dream haircut looks good on us in reality or not, we can always rely on photo editing software. In one such instance, u/rickyk57 decided to seek some help from the subreddit r/PhotoshopRequest, where online folks turn to place their paid or free Photoshop requests on pictures to other community members.

"Please give my wife bangs so she doesn't end up getting them and crying," the man wrote, posting two pictures of his wife on the subreddit. His wife appeared to have shoulder-length ash-blonde hair with dark roots in the pictures. Soon enough, the Reddit community's Photoshop experts jumped in to offer a helping hand and started posting modified pictures of the man's wife. Some of the hairstyles that were Photoshopped on the woman actually looked flattering whereas others looked beyond outrageous.

u/akashharsana shared an impressive edit of the woman with fringes and wrote, "After researching curtain bangs and learning more about them, here's what I came up with, taking her current hairstyle and hairline into account. I also had to adjust the lower part of her hair in the same way to achieve the look." Many others in the comments that followed under the post, encouraged the man to take the picture to his wife's hairdresser because the final look suited her. u/Sea-Owl-7646 commented, "I used a filter and it convinced me to get bangs. I love them! My entire life I was convinced they'd look terrible on me but instead, I feel so much more confident and cute!"

One person took the editing game to the next level by giving the woman's picture a short bob along with bangs. The commentators were quick to point out that the hairstyle made the woman resemble Norwegian singer-songwriter, Aurora. A third person decided to edit in a darker shade of bangs on the original photograph and a fourth one ended up putting a dark hair filter on the image that made the woman look like someone interested in gothic pop culture. The hairstyle covered her eyes completely with bangs and people in the community couldn't help but chuckle at it.

The husband also posted a separate picture of clip-on curtain bangs and wondered if they would work to compliment the looks of his wife or not. u/Undercover_Sloth_123 quipped, "Okay so I bought those exact clip-on bangs off Amazon and they are amazing. I dye my hair black, so I feel like it's a little unfair in ease of color matching. But if she can find her color in those, they are awesome. Plus they hold up super well to heat. I've curled and straightened them numerous times. Easy to wash hairspray out of. Just a quick shampoo and conditioning. 10/10."

Another impressive result of Photoshop was posted by u/ProThoughtDesign, where they gave the lady shorter bangs that reminded her of how women used to style their hair back in the 1950s. Compliments poured in for this look as people hoped the woman had found the right haircut for her. u/A-Fire-in-Cairo commented, "Yeah we all look great when someone is trying to make us look great and she does look great though." u/thrasherchick_9 added, "She is already so pretty but she’d be soo pretty with the bangs! I can’t wait for her to have her glow up."
