u/tampasanta wrote, "Excellent! My wife and I leave Gatorade for our garbage men and recycling men every week. Ice cold. Their favorite flavors. They work their a***s off in the Florida heat and deserve to be treated with respect and care. It’s not difficult to be nice to people." u/--Kanye-the-giant-- commented, "I deliver packages all day in Arizona. My dashboard thermometer on my work truck reached 125° today... you're a saint buddy. People like me really appreciate people like you." u/The_salty_nugget shared, "I always leave bottles of water and cans of Pepsi/Fanta and 7up in the fridge in my shed so when a delivery person come by they can grab something for themselves. Last year we had an overgrowth of strawberries in our yard so with the drinks I left tiny cups with some strawberries for them to grab."

u/bodobop asked, "How do you guys leave the water to still be cold? Maybe I can start doing this for the mail carriers and garbage/recycling men!" The person replied, "We freeze a bottle of water to put out in the morning it's thawed enough to drink after a few hours." u/Help_An_Irishman recounted, "Bless you. My mom puts a little bowl with a bit of frozen water at the bottom out on her stoop every day with a little carton of coconut water. I think you all would get along." u/BetterTumbleWeed746 enquired, "Wow so cute. I guess you know what time they come by every day, so you leave it out around then?"

The person replied, "We usually put a completely frozen one in the morning and it's still partially frozen when they get it." u/slamdoink joked, "Looks exactly like my handwriting and my doodling. I’m not a delivery driver anymore, but this made me very suspicious of wormholes in the time/space continuum." u/AmateurBusinessGoose pointed out how the trucks increase a mail carrier's problems. "Fun fact; while it is on a Chevy truck frame the body (which has no a/c) was built by aircraft manufacturers." Another user noted, "Speaking from experience, the heater does not work well in winter. But yes the inside of the vehicle during summer is 20-30 degrees hotter than it is outside."
