The child momentarily looked confused upon seeing the similar-looking men, but her reaction soon had everyone laughing.
Telling twins or triplets apart can be challenging even for adults who haven’t spent much time observing them closely. So, it’s no surprise that a child might find it even more difficult. However, a little girl's reaction to seeing her triplet grandpa's brother is all sorts of adorable and the internet simply can't get enough of it. The adorable video of 3-year-old Naomi trying to identify her grandfather and great-uncle was recorded by the young girl's mom, Jovan Gordon, and shared on TikTok by her aunt Leah Lai-Hing (@linglingh). According to Good Morning America, the now-viral clip features Lai-Hing's father Leslie and her uncle Lennox, aka Lenny.
"POV: Your father is a triplet (her grandpa)," the text overlay on the clip reads. In the video, Leslie and Lenny are seen standing in front of the little girl, asking her to recognize who they are. Their identical triplet brother, Leroy, is not seen in the video. "Who is this?" a person asked, pointing at one of the brothers. "Papa," the girl answered. "Alright," the grandpa said. "Okay and who is this?" the same person enquired about the other old man in the video. "Another papa," the adorable little girl responded. All the adults in the video started clapping and laughing as "another papa" went ahead and gave the little girl a big hug. The girl looked confused at first but then started giggling and spraying water at her grandpas and playing with them. The caption of the video reads, "They love trying to trick these kids."
Lai-Hing also shared that the little girl was quite confused after looking at both the men before the video began. The video received more than 16.8 million views and over 2.7 million likes. People took to the comments section of the video to appreciate the adorable interaction between the little girl and the two old men. @chapiguapa wrote, "It never even crossed my mind that triplets and twins turn into grandparents of separate families." @jamariamir08 commented, "I love when kids get to experience stuff like this. Experience grandparents and older family members so they can learn the family tree as they grow instead of just hearing about the family tree." @nyabhinghiiii remarked, "Imagine you and your cousins all got different grandpas, but they all look alike. No, that’s not your grandpa, that’s mine." @acocoabeauty shared, "I did this with my granddad's identical twin and he would always argue with me that he wasn’t my grandpa." @candyapple4825 expressed, "She almost looked scared to answer because she didn't want to get it wrong... but seriously, triplets, that is AMAZING!"
Many people in the comments wanted to see the triplets together, so the woman posted an update showing the same. "I did not expect the video to go crazy like that," Lai-Hing expressed. "You all went crazy. But thank you for all the kind words. And yes, it's a blessing. So here's the three of them all together. I will post more pictures and stuff later on. Thank you guys." The brief clip garnered more than 3.8 million views and over 384.5k likes.
Lai-Hing posted yet another update where Naomi and another young girl named Z tried to identify their grandpa out of the triplets. However, the little girls ended up calling each of the brothers "other papa" instead of identifying their grandpa. When prompted a little, both the girls pointed at the woman's "Great Uncle Leroy" instead of their grandpa, causing a laugh riot. The caption read, "They couldn’t even tell in this video. They haven’t seen the triplets all together yet but have seen them all apart."
@linglinglh Replying to @Yvesbonita “Other Papa X3 😭 They couldn’t even tell in this video 😂 They haven’t seen the Triplets all together yet, but have seen them all apart. The fact that she said “Uncle Leon” surprised me 😩😭🕊️ #brothers #triplets #anotherpapa ♬ original sound - Ling Ling
