Little girl has a hilariously wholesome reaction to learning she's going to be a big sister to twins

Welcoming a new member of the family is a joy to parents. Sometimes, siblings are super-excited to be the older ones and have someone new to look after. Lyne Mae Jean – who goes on TikTok by @mslyne__ – shared a heartwarming video of her toddler, who was hilariously overjoyed on learning that she’s going to be an older sister to not one but two siblings. Jean posted a video on TikTok that has gone viral and received 1.4M views for her daughter’s adorable reaction. The video captured Jean with her husband and daughter in their car with the text overlay that read, “Watch us tell our daughter that she’s going to be a big sister to twins.”

While the little girl was seated on her father’s lap, her mother handed over the pictures from her ultrasonography. She took the snapshots in her hands and said, “Oh, the baby, it’s a lot of them.” Jean’s daughter, out of curiosity, pointed out to the baby in the scan and asked, “This the baby?” Her mom then asked, “You wanna know why it’s a lot?” ready to reveal the big news to her daughter. As she continued looking at the pictures, Jean’s daughter guessed the unusual size saying, “Because the baby’s so big?” Her father then spilled the beans, “Because it’s two babies.” The little girl immediately turned to her father and asked, “A brother and another brother?”

To this, her parents revealed that she was going to have a baby brother and sister. The minute Jean’s daughter heard the news, she gasped in excitement and let out a wide smile. In her delightfully high-pitched voice, she asked, “For real?” She looked over at her parents in disbelief, with her smile still bright and hopeful. Soon, she screamed with joy and hugged her father. Unable to control her excitement, she was overjoyed and said, “I thought it was only one!” In absolute joy, she shook her father hilariously and said, “You were lying everyone. You were lying.”

Chuckling away, her parents tried convincing her that it was a surprise for them as well, but the little one wouldn’t take it. With no clue whether to be mad or spring with joy, she chose to do the latter. Doing a little chirpy dance as she sat on her dad’s lap, Jean’s daughter couldn’t put away that smile. She hugged her dad again in extreme gratitude and thrill. She then said, “I can’t believe it, I didn’t know I was gonna have two.” Next, her big sister’s instinct kicked in immediately as she tried to calm herself down but simply couldn’t contain the good news. “I’m over it,” she said as the little girl fell into her dad’s arms, pretending to be exhausted by the news, but her eagerness made her turn right to her mum and giggle most adorably.
