People were touched by how moved she was by such a modest present and amazed that it was all she wanted for Christmas.
There's nothing more beautiful than watching children be grateful for the simple things in life. They usually learn by watching their parents and family being appreciative of everyday life. After all, children are not born with grand expectations, so their wishes and desires are pretty simple. Amongst many privileged kids who throw a tantrum and complain despite getting truckloads of Christmas gifts, this little girl captured the internet's heart with her gratitude for a modest present. The girl's mom, Latea Pendleton, who goes on TikTok by @lateapendleton, shared her daughter's heartwarming reaction to the Christmas present.
This video showed the family gathered together to open their presents on Christmas. When it was time for the daughter to open, everyone was cheering for her. As she opened the brown wrapper, she instantly realized what the present was and started getting emotional. It was a pink Stanley Cup and nothing more. The girl burst into tears and hugged her dad, who asked her, "Is that what you wanted?" The father and daughter shared a wholesome moment and when he asked her again if that's what she wanted for Christmas, the grateful little girl said, "So much."
The entire family was touched by the girl's reaction. As they asked her to show her gift to the camera, the teary-eyed daughter displayed the Stanley Cup, which she longed for. Her mom captioned the video, "My baby girl's first Stanley Cup. She had me crying. Very grateful she is." Posted on Christmas, this video reached nearly 21 million views within a few days and more than 33K people poured their love both for the cute girl and her parents in the comments.
"What makes this so much better is only the girls understand that she crying with joy over a cup. Congrats on your STANLEY!" commented @paigesimmons1125. "This is better than the Publix commercials. Stanley needs to cut a check because I'm about to run and get myself one now! Merry Christmas," wrote @carries.daughter.number5. "I also love how she has a brand new phone next to her and Miss Girl WANTED this cup. That’s an appreciative little girl. Good job, Mom and Dad. You all are killing it," commented @jessiimaca. "I also think this is about a sense of belonging. Her friends at school probably all have one. This is so sweet," pointed out @makehummusnotwar.

On a similar note, another humble little girl made us believe in Christmas miracles. 8-year-old Landyn Wadsworth from Pasco, Washington, decided not to have toys as Christmas gifts. Instead, the kind-hearted girl donated food to the animal shelter, as reported by CNN. Concerned that many animals don't have loving homes during Christmas, Wadsworth wanted to give up her Christmas presents and buy dog and cat food for her furry friends. Initially, she made the food donation with her parent's money, but during the subsequent years, Wadsworth managed to raise funds and in 2019, she raised enough for up to 600 pounds of dog and cat food. The world seems to be a better place with such big-hearted children who find happiness in the simplest things.
