Little dog can't help but smile as his family throws him a surprise birthday party

Dogs have nothing but unconditional love for their humans. They will do anything for their owners for a few tummy rubs and treats. They may or may not always understand how much they mean to their humans. But the times they do, the pure joy they feel is priceless to witness. Some dogs are more obvious in expressing their delight, like this dog named Odin. When his family threw him a surprise birthday party he could not help grinning from ear to ear. His happy face has won the hearts of everyone on the internet.  

Odin is a Chihuahua who lives in Mexico with Joyce Cetina and her family. He was adopted by the family three years ago. He may be a tiny dog with a small stature, small ears, and paws, but what this little guy does have is a big smile. "He's a very faithful companion," Cetina told The Dodo. "He loves to hug and play." He has been showered with love and affection by the Cetinas. They decided to go above and beyond for their little pooch as his birthday approached. They decided to throw Odin a surprise birthday party to really show him how much they loved him.

The Cetinas really went all out and decorated their home with birthday decorations for the dog. They had even ordered a personalized cake specifically made to be edible by Odin. The cake was elaborately decorated as well. It was decorated with bone-shaped doggy treats. The cake topper was paw-shaped and read "3" for Odin's third year with the family. It even had his name written on the base. They had even prepared a goodie bag for the birthday boy. Odin was decked out in a bright yellow t-shirt and had his party hat on as he stood by his cake. It almost looked like he was touched that his human remembered his birthday and decided to surprise him.

"At first, he was a little confused. He didn't understand what it was all about," Cetina explained. "Then he saw the attention was focused on him, and the cake was for him. He was very happy." The family even sang happy birthday to him as he eagerly dug into his birthday cake. "He loved it," Cetina said of the cake Odin seemed to really relish. They then gave him his presents which he also enjoyed but Centina added, "above all, he liked the many kisses and hugs he received." That's how pure dogs are. Even though it was Odin's big day and he was the one showered with all the love, the family believes they are the ones who got the better end of the deal. That Odin is the biggest gift of all.

"Of course, Odin is loved and pampered all year round," Centina said. "But for us, this is an important day because it's the day he came into our lives. He makes us very happy." Odin's happy picture was shared on Reddit as well where people wished the little dog a very happy birthday. One person wrote: What a Chad. An absolute stud muffin. Another user said: I've been stuck staring at this photo for over 20 minutes, it's perfect. KingNish commented: Have an awesome day, lil homey! Look at that happy, handsome cake day smile!
