The little boy lives a few hundred miles apart from his grandma and hasn't seen her in a month. So he couldn't contain his excitement.
Many kids share a beautiful bond with their grandparents and it is beautiful to witness. Little children might also uniquely show this excitement. A little boy running at the airport to greet his grandma is the perfect example. The heartwarming video of the grandma and grandson's airport reunion was shared by the mom, Elle Leonard, who goes by @elleleoanardofficial on TikTok.
The text overlay of the video reads, "When he finally sees grandma at the airport." When the clip began, the little boy was peacefully looking around and waiting as his dad held him up in his arms. However, the moment he spotted his grandma, he let out a huge scream of joy. He was so excited that the moment his dad was about to put him down, he started kicking his feet, ready to take off. He continued screaming with enthusiasm as he started running towards his grandma after being put down. He ran straight to his grandma, who played a little game of peekaboo with him before opening her arms.
She was equally excited to see the little one running towards her. Leonard captioned the video, "My mom is his favorite person in the world and it’s been a month since they last saw each other." The video was loved by people on the internet and garnered an astounding 49.2 million views on TikTok and more than 6.9 million likes. "Growing up, she always created magic [for my son] with her imagination. She brings so much playfulness to life that it’s no wonder my son adores her...If it were up to Liam, his Grandma would live right next door," the mom told USA Today about her son Liam's beautiful bond with his grandmother.
The duo lives a few hundred miles away from each other and were seeing each other after a month. People took to the comments section of the video to gush over the little one's excitement over seeing his grandmother after a certain period. @tiff_crowe commented, "There is no feeling like a child picking you to be their favorite (after mom and dad) and running in excitement to get to you."
@strykernade wrote, "My mom said my son is the worst kid she's ever seen. I'm crying seeing this and the worst part is she has cancer. I haven't talked to her in a week. It's killing me, but she's so hurtful." @hurricanerita91 remarked, "I am 33 and live in Louisiana. My mommy lives in Colorado. I see myself sharing in his response to seeing my mommy in person, whom I haven't seen in 3 years." @giornidasole_ shared, "I miss my grandma, she was my best friend, she never said or did anything hurtful to me and she loved me with all her heart. Relationships with grandparents are something precious."
