A good teammate is someone who does not shy away from showing support, especially when their comrade feels nervous and anxious after being put in the spotlight. A boy experiencing the chills while performing in front of his amateur basketball squad was taken aback when his buddies decided to join him in the most special way. The incident that took place during an Alabama HOOPs camp organized by a sports club (@205hoops on Instagram) helped Charlie Campbell effectively overcome his vulnerability while singing in front of the group.

Described as the "coolest moment" at the campsite in recent times, a widely circulated video showed Charlie drawing wholesome reactions for singing Teddy Swims’ "Lose Control." As the youth barely managed to pull off the responsibility of cheering up those around him, the boy’s teammates rooted for him. “Charlie Campbell absolutely shut it down and our hoopers absolutely loved it,” an excerpt from the caption of the footage read.

Furthermore, the youngster eloquently touched the high and low notes, frequently transitioning his voice similarly to the American singer behind the masterpiece. At one point, one of Charlie’s teammates cheered up the group’s spirit by lauding the boy for his efforts.

As part of the celebratory gesture, the players rubbed the youngster’s head to shower their love on him. Charlie embraced the moment by joining his teammates, jumping, dancing, and cheering along with them in a joyful display of camaraderie.

The 44-second clip has turned Charlie into an overnight social media sensation, with many on the internet heaping praise on him for his sincerity. Moreover, the footage has managed to garner millions of views along with 112,000 likes and is still counting. Notably, it was not clear whether the captivating moment was from before or after a game.

In the meantime, online viewers are now dubbing it the most rewarding motivational gesture extended towards the young boy by his teammates. Among the reactions, @erincatania hailed, “Well done, Charlie! I've seen this video across all social media platforms and even on the evening news. He's certainly in the spotlight, and the support from his teammates and coaches is commendable!” Adding to it, @kaypratthomes wrote, “I'm so proud of the leadership these boys are showing! You're raising fine young men here.” "I teach fifth graders every day, and they are often terrified of showing interest in anything outside of sports. What you're doing is incredibly important. These kids will remember this, and it's clear they have some excellent role models here," @chancelot_spamsalot said.
