Little boy gives wholesome reason for wanting to be a firefighter leaving everyone in tears

Children are filled with dreams and aspirations regarding their adult lives. Consisting of the most unique and vibrant professions, each child’s dream comes from inspiration. Whether it’s the love for space to be an astronaut or the urge to serve people by being a doctor, there’s usually a beautiful reason attached to these dreams. A young boy's inspiration to become a firefighter has a similarly heartwarming reason as the source. Emily Allen—who goes by @emilylallen3 on TikTok—shared a video of her child speaking about his dream profession. In a few words, the boy stole everyone’s hearts, leaving them teary-eyed.

The boy was speaking about what he wanted to be when he grew up. His family members were all present to hear him speak. The toddler went to the mic and said, “When I grow up, I want to be a firefighter because my grandpa was one." He added, “He is the best grandpa ever.” The room echoed with cheers for the boy and everyone was moved by his adorable source of inspiration. “When your grandpa is your hero and you want to be just like him,” the caption read. Seated among the family was the toddler’s grandpa, his hero, who heard him say the heart-melting words.

The feeling was beyond grand for the old man. Though he tried to fight back tears, it was evident that he was overcome with emotion. By the end of the boy’s two sentences, he was in tears, wiping his face, knowing he’d done well. A feeling of pride, gratitude and love flooded the face of the grandpa. Grandparents share one of the most precious relationships with their grandkids. In another adorable instance, a baby girl’s day was turned around upon seeing her beloved grandpa and her reaction was priceless. Breelan Danielle—who goes by @breelan_danielle on TikTok—shared a video of her grandpa and daughter, but there was the sweetest twist. Grandpa, who wears a hat 24/7, left his granddaughter baffled after removing it and revealing his bare head. As soon as she saw her grandpa without his hat her face dropped. She could not understand how her grandpa disappeared and another man had come in his place.

The little girl got super weirded out by his changed appearance and was on the verge of a breakdown. Seeing her little heart crumble, her grandpa said, “Okay, okay, I’m gonna put the hat back on. See? It’s fine.” He put back his hat and in a jiffy, she somehow had Grandpa right back with her again. Reaching out to him soon after recognizing him caused the grandpa to chuckle. The sweet moment was nothing short of the most precious comical memory. @yo.favv.taniya exclaimed, “The way she squinted her eyes!” @lanadontknowchacknow wrote, “Your baby is the most precious!”
