American singer-songwriter and actor Lenny Kravitz has officially joined TikTok and he has made a notable debut on the platform. The 59-year-old Kravitz seemed to welcome the changing season with autumn colors on his outfit while bringing back his viral massive brown scarf. The "American Woman" singer's scarf is not just another forgettable accessory. His fans and pop culture aficionados are well aware of the oversized scarf that made one of Kravitz's paparazzi photos go viral on social media about a decade ago.

According to PEOPLE, Kravitz was photographed wearing his gigantic scarf while he was out running errands, which launched an avalanche of memes and jokes on social media. Kravitz donning the same old scarf for his debut TikTok video is proof that he is aware of his viral photograph and how it reflected his fashion preferences. In his brief TikTok video, the rock legend walks towards the camera and tells people to "grab their big scarf because it's the first day of fall."

This video rightfully pays tribute to his 2012 viral paparazzi shot and over the years, he has been questioned about it multiple times as well. While making an appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" in 2018, Kravitz playfully brought up his viral meme. "I cannot escape this. I live in the Bahamas, I’m used to hot weather and I had to go to the store, I was buying some groceries and I thought I’d put on a little scarf to protect my throat, and that’s the scarf I had," he joked on the show.

"But Lenny, this is not a scarf, it’s a blanket!" Fallon remarked. "That was the day I thought I would break it out, and I had no idea that there would be paparazzi and that is now everything," Kravitz said. "Here’s the thing about the internet, though, that’s the problem — the scarf keeps getting bigger and bigger and bigger," he continued, explaining how people with Photoshop keep manipulating that viral image and making his brown scarf even bigger. Fallon managed to pull out the original paparazzi shot and also some Photoshopped images of the brown scarf getting hilariously bigger as the studio audience erupted in laughter.

According to an interview on May 2023 with Highsnobiety Magazine, Kravitz candidly spoke about his unique fashion choices and how his late mother, actress Roxie Roker, never questioned the clothes he wore. "My friends were like, 'Your mom's going to freak.' We were all nervous,” he revealed. "But she looked me up and down and said, 'If you're gonna wear that skirt, you got to change the shoes'."

"One thing about my mother is that she never judged anybody. She just loved," Kravitz added in that interview. In November 2022, Kravitz's contribution to evolving and eclectic fashion was recognized when he was awarded the Fashion Icon Award at the 2022 CFDA Awards, per PEOPLE. He turned up for the award ceremony in a pair of leather pants, a woolen blazer with cutouts and a feather boa by LaQuan Smith.

"I reached out to LaQuan after admiring his work for some time and we met in person just a couple of days ago to vibe out," Kravitz later told Vogue. "We had instant chemistry. I love his vision and look forward to working together in the future. The fact that I'm the first to wear creations he has made for men is an honor." Netizens do agree that the musician and actor has joined TikTok in the most wholesome way possible but fans are still looking forward to any updates on TikTok about Kravitz's music which is rumored to be released soon.
