Beth, the elderly woman, could not believe how the community stepped in when she had lost all hope of getting her place fixed.

A widely circulated video showed Spencer breaking the news to Beth about the massive GoFundMe donations. The elderly woman, shivering due to her poor health, could hardly believe that the lawn care provider had raised around $550,000 to help her. “In about 24 hours, over 21,000 people donated to your cause. With the amount that we've got for you so far, we're going to be able to do a little bit more than just your driveway and your ramp here,” the man said. “We raised $550,000 since yesterday,” Spencer revealed, leaving the elderly woman surprised.

When he let her know about the donation, it was her innocent response that absolutely floored him. “No! I can't even cry. I can't even think. There is no fire here,” Beth responded, her faith in humanity restored. Even while living through harsh conditions, all she could think of was the people affected by the Palisades fire. According to the GoFundMe page set up by the video creator, the Kansas resident had been struggling to maintain her lawn, with no help until now, which prompted the city to take action. Local authorities had issued her a warning about her overgrown grass and were planning to charge her $240 to cut it—an amount she couldn’t afford. The landscaper also shared some heartfelt messages from donors around the world. “You deserve every bit of this money. I hope our donations help to brighten your life,” a donor named Amanda wrote.

“You seem like an absolute sweetheart. I'm grateful to have a chance to help you. Beth, I pray you get all the help you need,” Kizzy added. Other supporters of the campaign continued to shower their love on the elderly woman, with the donation amount nearing $800,000 by Wednesday. With this money, Beth could afford to buy a more suitable vehicle to support her needs. “We can get you a better, more accessible car. We can completely remodel your house. We can do whatever you want with this money,” Spencer reiterated. “I've already been talking to an attorney to help you set up a trust so that all the money is protected for you,” Spencer continued in the four-minute footage. To ensure the funds are properly secured, a meeting with the lawyers is scheduled for the coming weeks.

Before raising the funds, the landscaper had clearly stated that the charity would go toward redoing Beth’s house ramp, interiors, and adding a new driveway, as her current one was damaged beyond repair.
