The entire building united against the bully; from posting a cruel sign on her door to mocking her at every turn, they left no stone unturned.

A landlord (u/educational_pie4385 on Reddit) finally took revenge on their high school bully when she moved in as a tenant. It had been years since they both had passed high school, but the bully hadn't changed much. In fact, she was still very disrespectful and left no opportunity to initiate a fight. However, this time, when she picked an unnecessary fight, solely to insult the landlord, the entire building teamed up to deliver the kind of revenge one can only dream of. The landlord shared the hilarious story on March 6.
The landlord, 25, was managing 200-plus properties on behalf of an absentee owner, and everyone was quite happy with them. In fact, the kind landlord had a pretty good reputation for helping poor tenants. "I would buy tenants meals, work out payment arrangements if they couldn’t pay rent by giving them odd jobs, or spot them some cash when they ran into a jam. Tenants absolutely adored me because of the good I did for everyone," they recalled.
It wasn't in the landlord's character to take revenge until their high school bully moved in as a tenant. The girl hadn't changed much since high school; she loved to start a fight whenever she could. So, this time, she got into a fight with the landlord for some "bizarre reason" and insulted them in front of the whole building. The landlord refused to listen to her nonsense and said they wouldn't tolerate her disrespect, especially now that they are both grown adults. "However, she sealed her fate, as word got around, and the entire building of 200+ units turned against her," the landlord explained.

Annoyed, a tenant placed a mean poster on the bully's door. Similarly, someone intentionally left loud machinery running above her apartment all weekend. Moreover, neighbors left no opportunity to mock her whenever she walked through the building. The high school bully was so uncomfortable with the growing hatred that she requested the landlord cancel her lease so she could move out.
Surprisingly, the landlord agreed because they were concerned about her safety, but not before taking a final revenge. "I mysteriously lost the elevator key that day just as the movers showed up. She went ballistic, was kicking my office door, and was throwing a tantrum as I just smirked at her," the landlord explained.
Childhood bullies leave a negative impact on people, which can last a lifetime. For instance, a school-based study at an Indonesian school found that while 31% of bullying victims lose confidence, 32% feel a specific desire to take revenge, and 11% start thinking negatively. The study also observed that while 38% of victims ignore the bullying, 35% confront it, and 7% of victims go as far as wanting to hit or fight the bullies. An additional 20% handle the situation thoughtfully. Instead of fighting back or ignoring the bully, the victims try to explain to them why their behavior is wrong.

Meanwhile, reacting to the Reddit story, u/dreadfullydead commented, "I have no sympathy for anyone who takes pleasure in making someone's life miserable just for the pleasure of it. Bullies will always deserve everything coming their way. And then some more. I'm glad the universe gave you a chance to settle your scores." Similarly, u/foxydevil14 shared, "The best rule you can follow in this life is to be nice to everyone. That said, don’t let anyone walk all over you. If they do, get them better than this in revenge!" u/limpshop4291 wrote, "I bow to you. Well done. I might have ridden the elevator up when I knew they were almost done and given her the one-finger salute while the elevator door closed."
