How far would you go to prove your gut feeling? Well, Kori Blonde (@koriblonde), a content creator, might have just set the bar impossibly high. She had an inkling that her boyfriend was cheating on her after he did not respond to her messages for a week while he was on a "lad's trip" to Barbados. She realized that the boys' trip was, in fact, a couple's trip, and knew her boyfriend was up to no good because he'd left her home alone. Without a second thought, she used his credit card and booked a $33,809 first-class seat for a 9-hour flight to Barbados. What happened later is every cheater's worst nightmare. The post, shared on June 13, 2026, has received 320,000 views on her Instagram.

A costly investigation

Blonde was scrolling through Instagram stories when she noticed "Jade," a single girl, had joined her boyfriend on his apparent "lad's trip." She was convinced that he had been cheating on her with Jade but needed solid proof to confront him. That's when Blonde came up with the brilliant plan to use his credit card. She booked herself a 10 a.m. first-class flight to Barbados and even paid an extra $27 for WiFi. When she got to the island, she headed to a local shop to get her cheating boyfriend a "little present" before confronting him. She noticed a group of girls celebrating a "divorce party" nearby and struck up a conversation with a girl named Sharon over "cheating men."

Cheater busted

Before Blonde left, she asked the women if they had a divorce sash. Instead of just the sash, they offered to accompany her to the resort. When they got to the resort, Blonde saw Jade sitting on her boyfriend's lap on the sun lounger. She walked up to him and Jade and went, "Oh my God, this is so cute. I thought it was a lads' holiday, though." Without waiting for his reply, she took off the sash, put it on him, and said, "There you go. You thought you had a chance. Now you don't."

Her boyfriend, who knew he had been caught red-handed, asked how much she'd spent on his card, and Blonde honestly confessed to spending $33,809. "Oh, don't worry about it; consider that compensation," he said, trying to be cool about it. Meanwhile, Blonde, quite happy with her revenge, shared, "I stayed there for a week, flew back home, and thought, you know what? Call me a gold digger, mate. But I thought that response was quite hot. At least I had a holiday out of it."

Vacation cheating is real

Blonde's boyfriend really thought he wouldn't be caught red-handed if he cheated on his girlfriend in another country. Although he was proven wrong, studies show people often cheat on vacations. In fact, Radical Storage surveyed 1,231 Americans about their behavior on vacation and made some surprising discoveries. The team found that while 41.3% have cheated on their partners while on vacation, 34.9% admitted that they feel more flirty while on holiday. Nevertheless, the survey revealed that men (46.5%) are more likely to cheat on their partners compared to women (37.9%).

Netizens found Blonde's story hilarious and thought she deserved the free trip to Barbados. @sezzy_94 commented, "Honestly, that's the only acceptable response by a cheater. If there is one." @maddiedennehy added, "Honestly, free holiday and no more men. You won twice!"
