A Virgin Atlantic flight attendant got a taste of why this time of the year is known as the season of giving. Although she has met several famous athletes, supermodels, and actors in her line of work, it was an unlikely pair of random passengers that left a lasting impression on Virgin stewardess Leah Amy. Declaring the duo her two favorite passengers of all time, Amy described how a kindhearted man had selflessly swapped seats with an elderly woman so that she could enjoy the comforts of his first-class digs.

Sharing the heartwarming story on Facebook, Amy wrote, "Of the hundreds of flights I’ve operated, I’ve had the pleasure of looking after footballers, supermodels and some Hollywood movie stars but let me tell you about my two favorite passengers EVER! Jack and Violet (I wish she was called Vera or Rose)." The Manchester-based flight attendant described how Jack silently sat in Violet's economy seat all throughout the flight after having gifted his prime seat to his 88-year-old new friend.

"Jack and his family purchased seats In our upper-class cabin for a flight home from New York, but when he got on board, Jack went and found Violet in the economy and swapped seats with her. He then sat on the row of seats directly next to the economy toilets and never made a peep or asked for anything the rest of the flight. No fuss, no attention, literally did it out of the kindness of his own heart, no one asked him to," Amy added. According to the New Zealand Herald, Jack and Violet had struck up a friendship at the airport before boarding the aircraft.

Amy described how Jack's kind gesture meant the world to the octogenarian. "Violet is 88 years old and has been a nurse in both the UK and America. She travels to New York to see her daughter but hasn’t been able to for a while because of a knee replacement. Her dream has always been to sit at the front, and Jack made that come true," the stewardess noted. As you can imagine, flying in first class was an unforgettable experience for Violet who, according to Amy, was giddy with joy and excitement all throughout the journey.

"You should have seen her face when I tucked her in her bed after supper. She said her daughter won’t believe her and wanted a ‘selfie’ to prove it, but didn’t have a phone or an email address. These photos are getting sent in the post tomorrow, can you even cope," Amy wrote. Since being shared on Facebook on December 10, 2019, the post has been shared almost 5.5k times and touched the hearts of several netizens who praised Jack's selfless deed.
