The woman returned to a school in Uganda. The response she received from her students was heart-touching.
Sometimes, the impact a person has made shows its effects in the most unexpected ways. A person might have changed someone's life in some aspects and in exchange for that, they might get tons of love and a place and a person they can call "home." A volunteer who has worked in Uganda as a teacher has created a similar impact on people's lives and the love she has gotten in return is a truly wholesome sight. The woman, Hannah—who goes by @hannahvgerven_ on TikTok—took to the platform to share the video.
"People who make you feel at home outside your country [are greater than anything]," the woman wrote in the text overlay of the video as she met her friends and students in the country. The moment they saw her, they rushed to give her a big hug with smiles on their face and excitement in their run. The people were working in college, on a sidewalk and multiple other places, but the moment they saw Hannah, they came up to greet her. Many of them even did a little dance or screamed when they saw her, showing that they were happy to see her after such a long time. When she went to a school, a huge bunch of children in their orange uniforms ran towards her.
The video received more than 4.4 million views and over 737k likes. People took to the comments section of the wholesome video to express their thoughts on the same. @nellaknows wrote, "It’s the way she remembered to go see all of them, that's what humanity is, making bonds and tending to them with all your heart." Hannah replied, "Yes, I always make sure I visit all my friends every time I come back to Uganda, they’re the reason I’m coming back either way." @ghadatrabelsi07 commented, "I can easily imagine the great person you are just by the reflection of your image in their eyes....you're pretty wealthy, miss." @drjp88 remarked, "Damn girl, you are so blessed and loved by so many. I am touched by how happy they were to see you. It was genuine and pure."

What do you want to do after graduating?" the woman would answer, "I want to go back to Uganda to volunteer." She shared multiple photos of herself with her students while she worked as a volunteer in the country and she seemed to be having a great time as she did her work. There was also a very evident amount of joy on each kid's face in the photos. The caption read, "These smiles are priceless."
The woman also shared another video from her visit to Uganda as she met her friends and people she knew in the country. The text overlay read, "Rich because my home is in many places." The text overlay of the video read. The caption read, "Home isn’t a place, it’s the people in it." She went to people's homes to meet them, took walks with kids, went on bike rides, went to the school, volunteered to see the children there and so on.
