Kid's hilarious reaction to overpriced ice-creams reflects all our thoughts about inflation

The cost of living has been going up in the UK and it has affected even the smallest of items like ice cream. A kid shared her frustration over how expensive ice-creams have become in an Instagram video that's resonated with many online. The girl with her twin had gone to buy two ice creams from a vendor and when they heard its cost, they were quite upset.

The video begins with a text overlay, "When the cost of living takes its toll on me and my twin sister." The twins' mom can be heard asking them, "So what just happened?" and one of them irritatedly says in a British accent, "The ice-cream man there silly with two ice-creams with two chewing gums in it for bl**dy nine pounds for two of them." The mother also sounded shocked as she asked, "Nine quid for two?" The girl seemed even more frustrated by then and responded, "Yes, nine quid." The kid then says that she would pay one or two quid for an ice cream but not as much as this man was asking for. "He is going to get nowhere," she remarks.

"He should know and he only does cards, stood there with the cash. Bl**dy hell," says the girl angrily. In the end, she can be seen walking away while stating, "I bet he can hear me." People on social media loved the child's rant, some even called her a look-alike of Emma Watson. "They look like a couple of little Emma Watsons," commented @potraitsbymonu. @taylorlovetate wrote, "I need more videos of them talking about their day and opinions! So entertaining. Such enthusiasm. Made me smile." @steviemariesupernant said, "'Yeah I bet he can hear meh' This is my favorite part. Please post more videos of them, we’re begging you!"

In a follow-up video, the twin can be seen sitting in the backseat of their car and dancing and the text overlay reads, "When you go to Lidl and find out you can get 10 ice creams for £1, not two ice creams for £9! Oh, and they take cash!" It is captioned, "Two ice-creams for £9, me and my ice cream twin just aren’t over it yet. Does anyone know any other supermarkets we can try?"
