His mom came, threatening to damage their belongings, but the person insisted she call the cops on them.

A person (u/merrymisandrist) from Boston was fed up with their neighbor's kid, who kept parking his car in a 'no-parking area' right next to the end of their driveway. They did confront the kid and politely requested him not to park his vehicle there, but he didn't listen. Frustrated, the person did the unthinkable. They intentionally used their snow blower to dump extra snow onto their neighbor's illegally parked car, burying it completely. The person shared the story on Reddit a little over a week ago.
One Sunday, a heavy snowfall hit their neighborhood, which dropped about 20 inches of snow. As usual, the neighbor's kid had parked his vehicle at the end of their driveway. When the snow removal truck came, it avoided their driveway because of the illegally parked car. The homeowner had to snowblow themselves, but while they were doing it, they decided to pull a petty revenge on the neighbor's kid. At first, it wasn't intentional; in fact, snow landed on his car accidentally because of the wind direction. "I added more snow to the driver's side, right up the sidewalk, which I did not snow blow. The snow piled up on the passenger's side from the plow going back the other way. By the time I was done, it was pretty buried," the person confessed.

The next morning, they saw the kid trying to shovel himself out. The person told him that he should have been more careful about parking his vehicle. And when he asked if he could use their snowblower, the person refused immediately. His mom also came, threatening to damage their belongings, but the person insisted she call the cops on them. "I know she's not going to call them, as they were parked illegally, and they would probably give the kid a big fine for both the parking and being there in a storm," they wrote. Parking has always been a major cause of disagreements between neighbors. Almost half of the respondents of a Churchill Motor Insurance poll said they had fought with a neighbor over parking. In fact, the tension grows so much over time that they (18%) go so far as to leave objects in front of their driveways or on-street parking spaces to stop other vehicles from using those spaces. Moreover, 35% of respondents said they are always competing for parking spaces with their neighbors.

Meanwhile, reacting to the Reddit story, u/sunshynepower commented, "NTA, start calling the cops every time he's illegally parked. I mean, the war has already started, so I hope you have security cameras up to prevent them from being d***s. Trust me, they are already plotting. Not being the AH doesn't mean the jerks don't hit back." Similarly, u/sillytugboats shared, "NTA. But the neighbors sure are. Sounds like you’ve been dealing with entitlement for a bit, and I don’t blame you for how you handled it. Maybe a little bit of a jerk for blowing the snow directly on the car, but it was also the car that caused you to be blocked in to begin with, so I think you are justified. Maybe they will think twice about parking there again."
