Kid accidentally records himself instead of his dad and his expressions are so pure

Children are often so adorable, especially when they look up to and express love toward their parents. Sometimes, children are so pure about their love for their parents that the message comes through loud and clear. A Reddit user recently posted an extremely heartwarming video about a child who doesn't even realize that he's showing his unadulterated affection toward his dad. In the video posted by user u/mindyour on the popular subreddit r/MadeMeSmile, a child is seen trying to record his father dancing to Taylor Swift's "Love Story." The video is titled, "Boy thinks he's recording his dad" and has more than 150,000 upvotes. The video shows the dad dancing and then another video comes in, which shows that the child had been recording himself the whole time! 

The dad apparently asked his son to record him dancing for a TikTok video. The little one proceeds to do that, but what the child doesn't realize is he has accidentally flipped the camera onto himself. The child can be seen smiling, in absolute awe of his father while he dances to the TikTok trend song. The son is seen smiling wide, not looking away from his dad even once! The video was originally posted on TikTok account @jarah30, with a text overlay saying, "I asked my son to hold my phone and record me, wait for his reaction!" The video is extremely wholesome and is now trending with almost 5 million views. Many users, both on TikTok and Reddit, were very moved by the cute video. 

A user commented, "Ok, I thought it was cheesy at first but the look of joy and adoration on that child’s face made me 😭. My sons are grown now but those of you with young ones, savor those eyes filled with pure love😍 Then live a life worthy of them." Many users commented how the OP needs to cherish these younger years because they will look back on them once their children grow up. A user commented, "It all goes too fast. The saying 'the days are long, but the years are short' is incredibly true. I just saw a FB post from 9 years ago of my youngest baby 'talking' to his great grandpa. It's been nine years, in some ways it feels like yesterday." Another user shared how their children have grown up and they miss little things like this, commenting, "Father and son. Treasure this forever. What a beautiful boy. He is so handsome. It makes me miss when my 25-year-old was young."

While a fellow parent shared a similar view, "Damnit you made me tear up after my 8-year-old just pissed me off. I'm all messed up now! Hugs and kisses for everyone 😭," another user shared their own parenting experiences, "My beautiful boy is now 22. My favorite photo of him is of him when he was 2 and a half, looking exactly like this at me. My lad still loves his mum to bits, but I do miss those adoring, utterly joyful looks! My daughter is now 18 and off to uni too. What I'd give to have those days back - treasure every moment!"

Another response shared how wonderful it is for the child to be so happy. "He’s so happy! This is so good for your son Dad and it will give him a lifetime memory (as it will be for you). Well played sir!" the comment read. A user asked if the child is often let off easily because of his adorable smile, commenting, "What a sweet-faced little guy :) Bet he flashes that smile and gets out of trouble pretty easy!" Another user agreed, saying, "Omg, that little boy is adorable and so much love for his daddy!!! 🥰🥰🥰."
