The truth is out! There were rumors about Keke Palmer's pregnancy, but the actor, singer, and Saturday Night Live host went all out and showed her baby bump on the show, announcing that she is having a baby! SNL came back after a Holiday break. Palmer went on to say, "People have been in my comments, saying, ‘Keke’s having a baby,’ ‘Keke’s pregnant,’ and I want to set the record straight," Palmer said. “I am!” She said it in a hilarious monologue in which she talks about having a big year as she was able to star in Nope and also attained an Academy Award nomination which she claims didn't happen, according to Variety. However, she could not contain her joy and said, "But honestly this is the biggest blessing, and I am so excited." “Guys, I am going to be a mom.”

Palmer added, "Even though some people feel a little weird about me having a baby cause I was a child actor, I just wanna say, look, I'm 29, I'm grown, I have sex, I own a home, I stormed the Capitol on January 6, you know? Things adults do," as reported by PEOPLE. Palmer joked, "I was trying so hard to keep it on the down low ’cause I got a lot of stuff going on,” she said. “You know, people kept coming up to me, ‘Congratulations,’ and I’m like, ‘Shh, can y’all stop? I got a liquor sponsorship on the line.”

She also revealed that she used to wonder who she wants to be standing on SNL's stage, "'Will you be like Maya Rudolph? Eddie Murphy? A Kristen Wiig-Type?’ And now I can tell you exactly who I am: Baby, I’m Keke Palmer.” Palmer goes on talk about her career and mentioned her movies like Akeelah and Bee which she did in 2006. "It was such a great experience. I had so much fun, except for when I got yelled at by Laurence Fishburne,” she said.

Palmer was incredible in her opening sketch spoofing the soap opera network. She was getting into wrestling positions and was pushed into furniture by Cecily Strong. However, it was told that body doubles were used for the stunts. She also made fun of Drake in a sketch on women –“United Tingz of Aubrey” – who previously dated the singer. She later spoofed her pregnancy in an ultrasound sketch in which her babies are seen tipping a Door Dash driver from the womb. She also had a sketch in which they were looking for the origins of Hello Kitty.

Palmer is expecting the child with her boyfriend Darius Daulton, who is the brother of actor  Sarunas Jackson. She started dating him in 2021. In an interview with Bustle in March, she said, "This is the happiest I’ve ever felt with someone. So why would I go out of my way to hide this person?” she added. “That’s a lot more work than just living in my life and being in my life.”
