In a series of tweets, he expressed his disapproval of her sheer black dress and matching thong bodysuit, commenting on her role as a mother and his own standards and morals.
Keke Palmer and her boyfriend Darius Daulton Jackson, the father of her baby son, have occupied a spot on the list of trends ever since Jackson shamed the outfit she wore to an Usher concert in Las Vegas. Jackson criticized her sheer black dress over a matching thong bodysuit on his Twitter account. He first commented, "It's the outfit tho [sic] you a mom" and then doubled down in a tweet that got fans even more infuriated.
We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is.

This is my family & my representation. I have standards & morals to what I believe.
I rest my case.
"We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn't want the wife [and] mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others [and] he gets told how much of a hater he is," he said. "This is my family and my representation. I have standards [and] morals for what I believe. I rest my case." Palmer is winning the internet for her "powerful" yet indirect response to the outfit-shaming.
While speaking to The Cut, Palmer opened up about how she feels about herself post the birth of her son. “I’ll be honest, I think before I even had the baby, I was really actually quite self-conscious," she said and added: "After having my baby, I’ve gotten so much more powerful. We’re going to lean into this new body, and I think that is the whole aura of what’s happening with me in this big boss era as I come into my 30s, and I have my baby boy, and I’m just continuing to spread my wings as a young woman.”
The "Nope" star continued, "My headspace is just to continue to inspire and encourage myself and anybody else who wants to go down that road with me." She explained: "Because we’re growing and we are changing. It’s all about loving who I am and loving what I experienced and what I’ve gone through that’s gotten me here. A lot of gratitude for me."

While Palmer never addressed her partner's comments directly, she did come out with a series of T-shirts with the text "I’m a Motha" the day following the incident. "One thing is certain and one thing is true, IM A MOTHA, through and through!" Palmer captioned an Instagram post of her singing Stevie Wonder’s "Isn’t She Lovely" to her baby changing the lyrics up to refer to her son.

"To all my mom’s out there, how did your baby change you?? Mine empowered me!" she added. "On such another level, my perspective changed because when my baby is good I’m GREAT! Look at that face! Gratitude galore."
The 29-year-old also shared a picture of herself in the outfit following the backlash. "I wish I had taken more pictures but we were running late! I am telling y'all right now if you haven't seen @usher you must go!! He was so fabulous! Giving theater, Atlanta down, tips and tricks and just absolutely iconic. I was truly inspired as a performer. I whooped some a*s in spades too! Where is that pic of us all together with the King himself? @noraradd," she captioned the image.
