After last year's gala was canceled on account of the pandemic, this year's Met Gala has given us two years' worth of memes.
The Met Gala is fashion's biggest night of the year involving some of the biggest designers, models, Hollywood stars, and other celebrities. After the pandemic led to the cancellation of last year's gala, the event roared back into public imagination with a new exhibit from the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. This year's theme was centered on celebrating all things American fashion. The Met Gala has also become an event that rolls out the red carpet for memes, especially with some of the over-the-top designs that have been debuted at the event through the years. While there were many meme-worthy dresses and moments, Kim Kardashian didn't seem to know where she was going with her new dress, literally.
